Most Pro users don’t see where the iPhone Air makes sense in Apple’s lineup. For me, it’s the iPhone I’ve been waiting for, and the one that finally pushed me to leave the Pro line.

While I was busy missing the fact that the Hitman games were coming to iPad, turns out there’s been a Destiny game in development. And now its here!

My evening got derailed by the “System Data using all of my storage” bug. Funny, after all the years this has been happening, there’s no good documentation on how to fix it outside of reinstalling the os. Thankfully, turning off iCloud Drive and turning it back on fixed it for me.

I’ve been running more iPhone apps on my iPad for a few months, but with iPadOS 26 they finally feel like they fit in naturally. And this time, it’s not just iPad Pro and Air users who can enjoy the improved experience.

Tried to pull up the Phone app on my main machine, on iPadOS 18, out of force of habit. How quickly we get used to things! Not only does the Phone app show up in Spotlight, the App Store listing has already been updated with an iPadOS 26 screenshot 😁.

This is a few days old, but the popular third-party podcast app Castro was updated with full iPadOS support this week. I haven’t really used Castro much, but I’ve been aware of it for years, and its good to see a long standing iOS app get proper iPad support.

iPadOS 26 Beta 5 is now available for download. Fingers crossed for lots and lots of bug fixes!

iPadOS 18.6 is live! Its a quiet release, and likely the last one in the iPadOS 18 release train. No new features, just bug fixes.

The nice thing about keeping old computers in rotation is that Apple accessories start approaching reasonable prices on eBay over time. This orange is one of my favorite Smart Cover colors and looks great on the M1 Pro.
