Local theatre doing Pride comedy night, don't mind if I do.

Disclosure Day didn't quite land for me There are some interesting ideas, but they're weighed down by some surprisingly poor CGI, which at times looked almost AI-generated. The film has ambition & a few intriguing elements, but overall it felt like a missed opportunity & left me disappointed.

The most terrifying thing in the universe

Saw Masters of the Universe and there’s plenty to enjoy solid action. Jared Leto is barely recognisable, which makes him much easier to tolerate! I do wish Skeletor had his original laugh, but the soundtrack is top tier especially Queen's "Princes of the Universe."

Double feature this Bank Holiday Monday: Devil Wears Prada 2 and Hokum, two very different films, both surprisingly solid!!

Want to talk horror in theatre. While comedies & musicals dominate, horror is creeping back on stage. Shows like 2:22, Paranormal Activity & Inside No. 9 prove audiences love a scare but I’d love too see more brave enough to truly unsettle us, like Ghost Stories by Andy Nyman & Jeremy Dyson. 👻🎭

Matinee show of Mrs President at charing Cross Threatre

La Chimera wasn’t initially on my radar, but I ended up really appreciating it. It’s an unusual film, beautifully textured, and the character’s journey emotionally stuck between worlds, searching, and oddly touching. Sometimes the quieter discoveries are the most rewarding.

Yikes! Curiosity got the better of me & went to see Return to Silent Hill. Aside from a few visually impressive moments, the unnecessary lore changes absolutely wreck it. As a Silent Hill 2 fan, this is beyond painful. I’d genuinely rather watch Twilight at least that kind of bad is entertaining.

IRON LUNG [2026] In a post-apocalyptic future after "The Quiet Rapture" event, a convict explores a blood ocean on a desolate moon using a submarine called the "Iron Lung" to search for missing stars/planets.

Review of the matinee of Into the Woods at the Bridge Theatre and it was visually spellbinding. Beautifully cast, wonderfully diverse, and an epic take on this incredible Sondheim show funny, witty, dark, and genuinely touching. The vocals were phenomenal across the board. One I’d happily see again.
