A windy Wednesday beach clean yesterday! 🍃 Thanks to the 8 students from Ardscoil na Mara for coming along and doing their bit to help keep the beach litter-free 😊 Coffee and cake as usual afterwards, it's a ritual at this stage! ☕

For #NationalWalkingDay2025 last Sunday, a group joined Tramore Eco Group and Waterford Sports Partnership for a walk to the salt marshes and the dunes, learning about the plants and wildlife along the way 🌱 🐞

A beautiful sunny morning for our beach clean today ☀️ We were delighted to be joined by 6 students from Ardscoil na Mara, they collected loads of rubbish from the beach and car park. Huge thanks for their brilliant effort and teamwork 👏👏👏

A very windy morning yesterday for our beach clean 🍃 We found huge amounts of rope and tiny pieces of plastic tangled in the seaweed, lots of jellyfish too 🪼 Our coffee warmed us up after, and we even had some yummy cake too!

We managed to get a beach clean done despite the threat of rain! 🌧️ And thanks to Ricky and George for their work repairing one of the sand banks 🙂

We had a fantastic time at our Wild Child event yesterday 🌞 The kids were delighted to discover all the little creatures living in the stream at Newtown Woods 🪲 Thanks to all who came along and of course a huge thank you to our team and ecologist Denis for sharing his expertise!

This Saturday 23rd August, we'll be hosting our Wild Child event in Newtown Woods between 11am and 1pm! If you've got little ones at home, bring them along to discover all the wonderful creatures in the woods 🪰 🪲 🐜 🐛

A great morning cutting the dock leaves for our meadow management project yesterday! One of our members even saw lots of six-spot burnet moths on a ragwort plant, a real treat 😊

We had a great morning picking up discarded cigarette butts with Tramore Tidy Towns 🤝 Cigarettes aren't biodegradable and cause major damage to the environment as they break down into microplastics, polluting both soil and water. They're also the most common form of litter! 😮

We had a fabulous time at the Tidy Towns dog show yesterday! Lots of interest in our stand, and one of our members even entered her dog in the dog show 🐕

Tramore Eco Group were delighted to attend the opening of the beautiful Sensory Garden today 😄 A fantastic job by all involved, especially Tramore Tidy Towns!

Hopefully this can be developed further!
