Thank you to Chairwoman Nicole Boyd for your leadership, your work, and your powerful remarks during this year’s State of the Tribes Address. I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect and to learn more about the achievements and the challenges facing Indigenous communities across Wisconsin.

Each year, Wisconsin’s Tribal Nations gather at the Capitol to share their vision and priorities with state leaders. The State of the Tribes Address is an important tradition that honors Tribal sovereignty and helps strengthen the relationship between our state and Native communities.

This week, bipartisan legislation to help bring Wisconsin’s Missing in Action service members home was blocked by Rep. Penterman and Speaker Robin Vos from a scheduled committee vote, despite broad support from veterans and lawmakers of both parties.

Earlier today, federal agents shot and killed another civilian in Minneapolis. Join us tomorrow, January 25, at 2 PM to protest ICE. Stand in solidarity with our neighbors in Minnesota and immigrant communities. We demand that ICE stop terrorizing our cities and get out of our communities.

Proud to introduce legislation restoring full collective bargaining rights for UW Health workers. When healthcare workers have a voice on the job, patients get better care.

The Republican majority forced through a bad bill on data centers and refused to livestream the debate or allow the public to record. Transparency matters. The best I could do was record the audio from the speaker in my office. Here’s my speech explaining why I voted no.

Republicans rushed a so-called “data center regulation” that offers more lip service than real accountability. Wisconsin deserves strong protections for ratepayers, workers, water, and our climate, not a giveaway to industry. I voted no and will keep fighting for real solutions.

On MLK Day, we remember that Dr. King’s work was rooted in justice, courage, and collective action. Honoring his legacy means continuing the fight to end poverty, end war, and end racism, and recommitting ourselves to building systems that truly serve dignity, equity, and opportunity for everyone.

So great to see so many community members at the Pettit National Ice Center, which recently hosted the 2026 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for speed skating, right here in the 14th Assembly District!

For the first time in 19 years, Wisconsinites no longer have raw, unfiltered access to what happens inside the Capitol. Republicans have allowed this to happen and show no urgency to fix it. They’re now banning members of the public from live streaming while rushing through a slate of extreme bills.

One year ago today, I raised my right hand, took the oath of office, and was sworn in as the State Representative for the 14th Assembly District. Thank you all for supporting me in this work to serve our community!

On this first night of Hanukkah, I am holding in my heart the families mourning loved ones after the horrific antisemitic attack in Australia. We must stand united and do everything we can to end violence, hate, and antisemitism.

So happy to host Milwaukee Hmong New Year right here in West Allis in the 14th Assembly District. It was wonderful to see so many people come together to celebrate Hmong culture, food, traditions, dance, and music!

Had a great time at the West Allis Fire Fighters Pancake Breakfast today. It was wonderful seeing everyone and great to catch up with my County Supervisor, Justin Bielinski!

I toured the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility with the Milwaukee legislative delegation and met with the Department of Corrections Secretary. After speaking with people who are incarcerated and witnessing the horrible conditions firsthand, there is no ambiguity.

Proud to stand with my colleagues as we introduced our Save Our Schools legislation. This bill invests in our students, supports our teachers, and ensures every community has the strong public schools our kids deserve.

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day calls us to reflect on the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the impact this day had on our nation. We will always remember.

Ten years ago, I raised my right hand and enlisted in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. That was the first time I swore to support and protect the Constitution of the United States, and that commitment continues to guide my service today.

Great seeing our community come together at the West Allis Christkindl Market! Picked up some wonderful local Christmas gifts too and proud to support our small businesses, artists, entrepreneurs, and vendors!
