Bedtime #MCM featuring my very sexy bp monitor

Ok so this blood pressure monitor isn’t too bad, the cuff isn’t too tight when it isn’t measuring, but as I’ve got a chunky (muscular) shoulder it won’t stay too high on my arm but is measuring ok, not going to enjoy it going off hourly overnight, pray for me tomorrow trying to work

So of course I arrived a little early for my 24hour bp monitor appointment and I’m having to wait as the consultation room is busy, someone has been in there for 15 minutes so not very good planning when they know my appointment time

Had a decently productive work day today despite this new cold being in full swing, I’ve now got to go and get a 24 hour blood pressure monitor fitted, not the best timing but it is what it is, at least I’m wfh tomorrow so not being able to have a proper shower won’t affect me too much

So I’ve only got another nasty cold, literally just got over the last one, oh joy, lazy day for me today is required

Time for the land of nod I think, I’m gonna try and get in as early as possible so I can start my weekend mid afternoon I think, it’s certainly needed after the amount of work I’ve got through

I’ve always been very self conscious of my butt so I’m surprised and delighted that so many of you liked it 🤣🤣😅😏

Happy Friday eve, we’re slowly getting there, I can feel the weekend but it isn’t in sight yet

The self service coffee machine in the canteen was out of service for cleaning, bad timing as surely this is peak time, plus had to pay 30p more for one from the counter (from a similar machine operated by catering staff) and it tastes worse than normal, yay for mediocrity

Bumped into someone I went to school with yesterday as she worked with my mum as well as it was my mums retirement drinks, had me wondering about my old friendship group, we parted ways amid much drama, tried to reach out during Covid and due to that didn’t get far. Then I’m reminded of this

I’m extraordinarily tired this morning, but feeling a bit better now I’ve had my coffee, I’m also feeling the cold today, bloody freezing on this tube

It was great to see reform drop in the polls gives me hope, but there’s still 3 years and things change so quickly in politics, I was intrigued by your party but after the controversy they seem to have gone down like a balloon, my hope currently stands with the Green Party

So I have to do an annual eAssessment for one of my certifications, and it’s 3 parts, did the hardest one, and it crashed on exiting so didn’t save my results, another part crashed 3 times mid way through and now says I have one attempt remaining 🤬🤬🤬🤬

So I’m at an NHS hospital (for work) and they have a huge multi story, and I’m parked all the way up on level 10 (really 5 as each half is a separate level) but still high up

In usual fashion I arrived early, as I M meeting a colleague from Kent who had a large eta window, and of course she is going to be another half hour

I get a reprieve from going into London tomorrow as I’ve got a jaunt down to the south coast as part of a new work project, if everything goes to plan should just be a morning thing so I can have an afternoon of CPD and attending a webinar I’m looking forward to

1 day of 5 done, shattered so gonna put off going to the gym and I think I’ve earned that with my activity today

Why am I not surprised, both have less of a brain than a lettuce, both tanked their economies with stupid policies and choices

Had double good fortune this morning as my cold has markedly improved and had no issues with the tube so got to work in good time, not stopped since I got in though busy day today

Just seen that next week when I’m in London 4 days, the one tube line I use is affected by strike action ffs, it couldn’t have been this week or the week after when I’m not in London at all

Day 9 of this cold/virus and I’m almost feeling human again, which is good as I’ve got a very busy work week coming up

I’ve had to go rescue my mum on her way home from London, this is the second time in 3 months her train home has had issues, this time the whole network from Waterloo is completely buggered, luckily they managed to get a train to Addlestone where my sister lives so I can get her from there

My main reason for frustration is that the last time I had a speeding issue, I never received any letters until the one saying it had already gone to court!

Given this government is all about digital, you’d have thought this wouldn’t be a thing anymore

Right so for my 172 form return the met didn’t include a return envelope so I guess I’ll need a stamp as well as it’s a a regular P.O. Box address

Street contractors don’t even tell you before blocking your driveway anymore ffs good thing I don’t need to go out until later

Oops so evidently I was caught speeding on Friday, just had the nasty letter through, at the time I wasn’t sure if the road I was on was 30 or 40 as it was a dual carriageway, I made an error in that judgement, now got to wait and see what they give me as punishment

Yeah I’m definitely markedly improved, for the first time since Saturday my head doesn’t feel full of cotton wool

Cold has definitely entered the next phase, my throat is much better but I’m the clearing it all off my chest time so thank fuck I’m at home today

My cold is proving most stubborn, but I feel a slight bit improved today, it had best bugger off before the weekend

This is day 4 of whatever this cold virus is and I feel worse than yesterday, although yesterday I did work a full day then drive 180 miles, today I’ve just about managed work

This cold is just as horrendous today, thank fuck I’m wfh the rest of this week, the second work is done at 4 I’m going for a lie down

Drive home took 3 hours 40 with a stop at Cherwell Valley for dinner, KFC this time, hit a bit of rush hour traffic on the M6 and M5 but blasted down the M40, lovely bit of road, 85 miles of no traffic jams or cameras 😅

I want to be up at 6, need to be at work for 8 but as I’m visiting an NHS hospital I’m gonna try and get there for about 7:30 as I’m going to educatedly guess the parking will be a nightmare. Problem is I’m not tired at all
