Always good to catch up with my guy Isaiah Martin! We sat down to talk about my campaign and why we believe this election is so important for the next generation. I’ve watched Isaiah build a platform that mobilizes people, and I’m grateful for the work he’s doing to hold those in power accountable.

My first experience with Math ETC was more than five years ago while serving as Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Bowie. It was a pleasure to be back, alongside Chi and Johanna Ihegihu, meeting the next generation of leaders and their parents.

Team Boafo was out at the New Carrollton Metro station greeting commuters, waving signs, and talking with voters on their way to work. Back at headquarters, our volunteers were hard at work on the phones, connecting with voters across the district and sharing our vision for Maryland’s 5th.

Pride is about acknowledging the past and helping chart out our collective future, lifting up the contributions of the LGBTQ+ community, and creating material conditions that not only protect the rights and dignity of our residents, but move Maryland forward.

It was great sitting down with Jamie DeMarco, one of Maryland’s strongest clean energy advocates, to discuss energy affordability, my record holding data centers accountable, and the work I hope to continue in Maryland’s 5th District to build a more sustainable and affordable future.

This week, we celebrated the signing of the Don’t You Wurie Act and the legacies of Isatu and Alieu Wurie. I know in my heart how proud they would be of their children, who have stood beside me over the last two years advocating for their parents and for Maryland families across our state.

After two years of tireless work alongside Saida and Alieu Wurie, the Don’t You Worry (Wurie) Act was officially signed into law. Because of their leadership, Maryland families will be safer when traveling at home and abroad, and their parents’ legacy will protect lives for years to come.

While I’m disappointed to miss today’s forum, I’m honored to stand alongside the Wurie family for the signing of the Don’t You Worry (Wurie) Act. I’m grateful for every opportunity to connect with communities across the district, and I look forward to seeing many of you at the events ahead.

This morning I kicked off Educator Appreciation Week in Charles County! I spoke with teachers, ESP's, staff and students about the challenges and opportunities that our public schools face. Honored to have the support of Maryland Teachers in my run for Congress.

It was an honor to visit The Sanctuary at Kingdom Square this morning, worship alongside the congregation, and attend services. My sincere gratitude to Deacon Elaine McNeil and Pastor Anthony Maclin for welcoming me in prayer.

Grateful to everyone who came out to hear from the District 23 team, sharing what we accomplished this legislative session, what’s ahead, and my vision for the future of Maryland’s 5th.
