We really need to stop pretending like GenAI is some fundamental distinct technology. It's not. It's just an application of machine learning. What makes it bad is that it: - Uses training data without consent, and - Its goal is to generate new/novel content that replaces the training data

Text to speech and GenAI voice cloning are the same technology (nowadays). The only difference is whether the voice model signed up for / consented for this to be done explicitly. It literally just boils down to consent.

I was wondering if browsers could be made transparent, similar to what the OBS Browser Source can do, but as a real desktop window. Apparently the answer is... yes! Firefox can do it, with some userChrome.css shenanigans. (Why do I want this? It'll make sense sometime in the future I promise...!)

I figured out why I was getting audio stuttering at 256 buffer size... irqbalance was putting both the amdgpu and xHCI (audio interface) IRQs on CPU#0!!!! amdgpu seems to be a hog... After messing around with the SMP affinities, it's pretty solid. And the CPU usage bars look nice ^^
