New Mexico was warmer this morning that parts of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida! New Orleans, Austin, Jacksonville, FL, Mobile, AL, and Savannah, GA have now all been as cold or colder than Albuquerque so far this season! #NMwx

A sight for sore eyes! The CPC has New Mexico under a good chance we will see above average precipitation into the middle of November. Currently, forecast models have back-to-back storms that could bring rain and mountain snow chances starting as early as this weekend. #NMwx

New Mexico could see winter weather return around the middle of November! The Pacific North American Pattern will enter its negative phase around November 15. A negative phase usually brings colder and wetter weather to New Mexico.

Santa Fe set a record high temperature this afternoon, hitting 73°. Albuquerque was 1° away from tying a record high today, climbing to 79°. #NMwx

Albuquerque had its coldest temperature in almost 5 months this morning, dropping down to 45°. This also ended the 4th longest stretch on record of temperatures warmer than 50°.

Albuquerque's dew point has been plummeting today. Down 30°+ from this morning! Even more impressive, we set another record high dew point early this morning at 55°. This is the 7th day in a row of record high dew points - the longest stretch on record!

Navajo Lake has jumped almost 10 feet in the last 5 days thanks to all the heavy rain in southern Colorado!

Today was Albuquerque's 6th day in a row of record breaking high dew points! This will be the end of this streak though with much drier air moving in tomorrow. Our average dew point for this time of year is 32°.

An incredible amount of rain has fallen across Arizona, into northwest New Mexico, and southwest Colorado over the last week. These areas have seen 800%+ of their normal 7 day rainfall. #NMwx

The sounding from Albuquerque Saturday afternoon shows a precipitable water value of 1.12”, a record value for the day! Precipitable water (PW) is a measure of how much moisture is in the entire atmosphere, from the ground all the way up to the top of the sounding.

The first Mass Ascension of Balloon Fiesta this year looks questionable 🫤winds on the ground may get a little breezy and become much stronger just off the ground. Sunday is looking much calmer!

Albuquerque had consistent and overall above average dew points almost all monsoon season. Despite that, we ended up 1.41" below average with 3.07" of rain this year. The 32nd driest monsoon on record of 134 years. It was also the 5th warmest.
