Hornsea Mere 31st May, ringed Osprey over my head. Turns out to be Gilshiel, (1B7), a 2 year old male from Kielder, was seen in Senegal in the winter and this is it's first sighting in the UK since fledging. Very happy with that news.

Yellow-throated Laughingthrush, (very range restricted to NE India & Bangledesh). Also Indian Grassbird and a Baikal Bush Warbler which showed really well until the camera was lifted !!

12 hours of waiting yesterday, but only female Bulwers Pheasants, Red-breasted and Crested Partridges. Today was a new day when this splendid male Bulwers Pheasant came in at 9am. Worth 15 hours of anyone's time. Mythical !!!
