Bawling my eyes out alone watching the closing ceremonies. My unhealthy attachment to The Olympics stems from ‘92, I was 13 and my mom was in the hospital for 6wks (the first 2wks were in ICU. She also believed I could be an Olympian, lol). Anyway, The Olympics kept me company when I had no one.

Attended my alma mater’s IdeaFest @ WKU with the younger McDeaths today and had a blast. Seeing 900+ 6th-12th grade students flooding down The Hill was really something.

If stepping over “the laundry mountain in the hallway” was an Olympic sport I’d be a five-time gold medal champion.

Just caught Middle McDeath sailing the high seas for a video game and reminded her she’d better have the VPN on. She then asked if she could get a fake ID and I said yes. When I was a rebel teen my mom threatened me that some day I’d have an unruly teen daughter as payback. I’m loving it so far!

I think I’m embarrassing angus and idk if it’s because I’m picking through neighbors’ brush piles, pulling a wagon of wood, or wearing overalls.

Holy shit. This weather is fantastic for picking through my neighbors’ brush piles to collect firewood.

I used to drive a ‘99 3-series BMW with tint, custom lowered sport-tuned suspension, and an amazing Harman Kardon audio system. But I also had a toddler. So my bass loudly thumped to this song- windows down. Not even kidding, it’s probably why Seamus is so cool now. And eats his veggies.

Earlier tonight there was a teeny tiny orange kitten on our porch meowing at our cat through the window. As soon as I opened the door to grab it, it took off. I looked everywhere and couldn’t find the lil baby. It’s so cold outside and now I feel sick to my stomach worrying about that kitty.

I just fixed my freezer that’s been on the fritz for ages and nothing can stop me now! My back really hurts tho’.

A certain MNPS middle school didn’t de-ice these steps (which aren’t just a few, at that) and so apparently children returned to school slipping and sliding on them and getting all bruised up this morning.

Just had a messy Nashville Hot Chicken Week sammich from one of the participating restaurants and immediately rubbed my eyes afterward. Nothing happened.
