Hyperthetical 4d chess... manage to sign Sesko, Nunez goes to Saudi with pif help... Liverpool bid higher for Isak, knowing we will accept, but are finished in this window... we now have funds to also get a CB like Guehi as Liverpool wont bid and a second striker plus back CM. #NUFC

If Isak does stay for this season, then he has to perform and stay fit, partly to retain interest in him and a World Cup summer as well.... I doubt this saga is done, but a new deal with a release clause next summer seems a likely compromise. #NUFC

I have no issue with a player being aggrieved at the club going back on their word on a new deal, I do, however, have an issue if said player downed tools and sat out the Arsenal league game when champions league qualification was in the balance... I really hope that isn't the case! #NUFC

If the club gets the rest of this summer wrong, for me, the biggest worry is Howe deciding he has had enough. If England has even an average World Cup, I doubt Tuchel will be staying on... pretty obvious who the FA will have at the top of the list to replace him. #NUFC

What's the old saying... no one player is bigger than the club. If he wants out for big wages, then so be it but at maximum price for him. The club will get a huge profit on what we paid for plus all he gave us the last 3 seasons. A lot of eyebrows raised when we paid 60 plus million.. #NUFC

With all this striker transfer noise going on, I would be delighted if the club quietly signed a RCB, young GK, utility squad CM and maybe a young forward whilst everyone is distracted. #NUFC

The first half last night reminded me of the run in 2 seasons ago but even better quality about it. The injuries have been less and to have the energy and intensity levels at this stage of the season is massive credit to the training staff. Lots of lessons clearly learned from last season. #NUFC

The performance yesterday, particularly the second half, was fantastic. The constant press caused mistakes. The win takes some pressure off of the Palace game but wow what a position we could be in if we win that one as well! #NUFC
