Game dev help! I need to spawn n entities on 2d coordinates within an arbitrary size rectangle They need to be spread out well, it's especially important that two entities doesn't end up super near each other if there's a lot of available space elsewhere. What's a good algorithm for this?

Programming help? A node system has operators for arrays of bools. But, turns out a non-standard operator would come in very handy for me. It returns true if the first bool of the entire array is true, but only if none of the other bools are. What do I name such an operator?

Playing through Black Mesa (impressive fan remaster of original Half Life 1) and I got to say, Half Life 1 really kicks ass. This is an incredibly well designed game, the level design is way more varied and unique than I expected

I wrote an algorithm that runs when starting the game. I left out a bunch of optimizations because they complicated the code too much didn't feel super good about that, so I profiled how much it adds to the loading times Turns out that if rounded to milliseconds, the answer is 0. I feel better now

I played dnd today! Went quite well, but my D20 was misbehaving. Rolled really high on relatively unimportant rolls, but failed nearly all attack rolls against a though boss. I don't think my D20 has a traitor personality, it has rolled well on previous sessions. Maybe it was in a bad mood today?
