I think it was @jamiegoode.bsky.social who first drew my attention to the Bussaco Palace Hotel which is home of the best house wine I've ever seen. And available in pleasing levels of maturity. This 2001 was on the 2nd page of vintages available for their white!

My take: breakfast is the least important meal of the day. Skip it. Just drink tea or black coffee, and take some water. If you must eat something, make it savoury. No sugar. And definitely no fruits or juices (too much sugar).
