also unplanned but not unexpected, a rewatch of the movie which my icon comes from (: wedding ring (1950), dir. keisuke kinoshita "riding the bus to izu on a spring day will i miss my white shoes?" by tom, dick and harry 02.01.25

for the second day of japan movie month i went off track and watched lost paradise (1997), dir. yoshimitsu morita the movie was a pleasant watch overall, depicting true (forbidden, adulterous) love as well as unhappiness and loneliness in a very intimate way. a movie sensual and tender. sad, too.

starting the new year by joining the japanuary month on letterboxd and celebrating the amazing kōji yakusho's birthday on the first of january with perfect days (2023), dir. wim wenders 01.01.25

starting this thing with a friend but the first step is to watch sanshiro sugata 1943. which is not bad actually but something tells me i am not the target audience for it. yes i watched it twice anyway.
