The art is now done. I’ll post it later tonight or tomorrow though, so I can make sure that there’s nothing weird looking. 27ish hours to do. It’s an improvement over the other artworks I’ve done, the new shading method I used fits me nicely

Few days till next art, trust me this time 😭

Had 4 exams last week and have one this week so I kinda stalled on the drawing. I somewhat know the shading style I like for skin, but having trouble finding one I like for the hair.

I keep trying out different coloring methods for each drawing I do. Not a bad thing, but makes me spend a bit more time learning to do things a little differently. Honestly, my Serina art looks the most “normal” out of the past several artworks I’ve done which I dunno how to feel about that

Next art will be up in a week or so. I doubt I will run into any big issues while coloring. Drawing time on the canvas is actually not that long, just haven’t been able to draw much recently, but way more than last month for sure!

After finishing a visual novel, I’m instantly reminded about someone asking what they do with unsatisfying stories…for me I write fan fics to satisfy what I wanted from it. And yea I wont say what visual novel cuz reasons 😅

I realize that the pose I’m doing forYuzu has been done a lot already…ummm dunno what to do about that when I’ve already done my drafts

I just imagine Yuzu, Aris, Midori, Momoi, and Kei all playing a certain neko game that released 24/7 together

Whenever I show some people the progress with my art, while I’m grateful they’re so nice, I know it looks bad and I want them to point out those parts. When I look at my art, it feels so bad compared to the feeling I get when I see other artworks. It’s at least a motivator for me at least though 😅

Once this exam is done today then I finish up my homework, I should start to finally get into the groove of things for my classes. Meaning I should finally have time to draw (hopefully)!

Next art should be done next month. Learning Japanese is taking a big chunk of my mental space right now. As for the drawing, I’ve been giving it just a tiny amount of time per day. Main thing I’ve been doing for art is studying what others do. I still wanna improve more on line art mainly

After playing more, my thoughts are… Well let me get the obvious out the way. If it weren’t for the fact it’s a sequel and I love the characters from the OG, it’s your run of the mill open world gacha game. Pull economy is terrible*, story is super boring, and the gameplay is meh

I tried out a certain gacha game that released today. Not saying the name so it isn’t blasted into my feed. Seems alright, I only played for 1.5 hours since I don’t have much time recently. I’m super neutral about it so far which is surprising (a good thing for Gacha games nowadays). I may play more

Even though I’m taking 3 classes, I basically have no free time…I’m hoping that I can be more free soon to draw😔

Honestly I’m still thinking about this. I want to forgo me being a perfectionist with my work, but I don’t really want to post art that’s totally worse than what I’ve posted already. I haven’t drawn in a while because that style of drawing needs too much time since I’m taking class now

Few things I wanna improve on for this art. The lines, face/head, and background. It’s another pose that may be a bit harder for me that I have planned.

Dropped my phone and now it has lines across the screen 😭 I still rather get a new tablet for drawing so I shall just live with it…

I shall continue my drawing today. Took a break (not because of burnout like last time) so I did some reflecting on my art.

Sometimes it feels like I’m not even improving with my drawing process. I struggle to draw the same things I’ve been drawing the whole time and it takes me so long to draw certain things. I keep running into the same problems when I think I should’ve learned something by now 😔

Just got back home from my trip. Gonna rest a day or two then get back to drawing…then I have more college classes in a week 😔

I had a dream with Mari in it…now I wanna draw her again, but I’m mid drawing already. So I will prolly do a private writing about her.

My tablet having only 64GB of space is killing me😭 The tablet I used previously was way better, but it broke so I’m using a not so good one right now till I can afford a new one. (Not anytime soon… 🥲)

I got an idea of what I wanna draw next. So I shall get to work on that tonight!

As to who to draw next…hmmm. Maybe Kanoe? I’m not sure. I had a pretty big slump in December so maybe I should also take a day off from drawing so I don’t get into another slump…

I wanna improve on the face for my next art. Her face looks a bit flat and out of proportion for my most recent drawing. I saw a background style I really like from another artist, so I may give that a try as well

My final art of the first year of drawing for me. Comparing my first and last one I drew, it is obviously better. But there are still a ton of things I don’t like and have to improve on. I only hope that I get better and don’t stagnate with my growth…

Not too far off from completing my last art of the year…but I’ve had a headache all day long that hasn’t gone away. Im powering through it so I can finish before New year’s

Hopefully I can get the art done by tomorrow night. Its not even close to New Years for me at that time, but it is for people in JP timezone. It’s almost done, but just gotta do the coloring for the clothing and maybe background if enough time

I’m already liking Bluesky already. Smaller audience overall, but I’ve seen some artists here that the Twitter (X) algorithm would never have shown me before. It feels like a lot closer knit community here ❤️. Itll take me a couple years, but I hope by learning Japanese I can also go JP SNS.

This kinda marks my first year into drawing. My goal for next year is to not constantly pause drawing when I get overwhelmed. The canvas times for my art aren’t super long, but I often pause because I get scared. So if I can stop doing that, maybe I can draw more often and not take weeks 🥺
