Just booked a meeting with my PO using an awful online Microsoft tool.It did not tell me what time zone I was booking for, so I assumed it was for the person I'm trying to talk to (east coast). But *after* I booked it told me I picked a time in Chicagoland.Though I'm not there, I'm at CERN. #$@%$$%.

It was a fantastic week at BNL for our AHEAD workshop where we taught US ATLAS folks about the basics of digital design and HLS for FPGAs in particle physics. I learned a tremendous amount and had a ton of fun.

I got breakfast (lox CC on a poppy bagel) from the bagel shop outside BNL. The store claims to have invented the flagel. Proof that civilization does not always move forwards in a straight line, and that sometimes we revert and go backwards.

Showed off to my grad student by debugging our group's code that is running a long list of FPGA kernels but was hanging on a big ttbar event. Nothing beats a lot of std::cerr statements to locate problems. Well, often. (Even better, it was not our kernel that was causing the problem).

My train is delayed and I'm reading an email thread about whether we should open internal ATLAS Combined Performance TWIki pages to the public and thus expose them to standard search bots. Super riveting stuff, folks.
