Yesterday I started reading Christopher Buehlman's The Blacktongue Thief. It's been a while since I found a book I couldn't put down. It's lean, mean, hilarious. Reminds me the first time I've read William King's Trollslayer.

My beloved Bori unleashed our second scion Diana upon this world on the 28th of January, at 21:00. She is pretty buff for a girl with her 4060 grams and 53 centimeters. Fingers crossed she will sleep better than her big brother.

Four levels in I'm already fed up with the Quake II remaster's new episode. Dull linear level design, no verticality, overcrowded tight rooms, gimmicky encounters... It isn't hard, just annoying, tedious, uninteresting, and it doesn't fit the tone of the original.

Nothing puts me more in the Holiday mood like having time to finish Quake on Nightmare difficulty.

Lost one point of wisdom today. Pulling the teeth out finally was a smart decision though, so I guess I also gained one point of intelligence.

Tonight's guilty pleasure is Shin Kamen Rider. It feels like pushing an entire season of tokusatsu into two hours. It would benefit from more character building and it's weird that the early over the top brutality disappears midway, but otherwise it's tons of fun and well worth watching.

Two weeks ago I finally got a copy of Better Than Any Man at Cauldron Con. Even got it signed by James Raggi. In hindsight, I should have bought more stuff. Maybe next year.
