The draw is out for the first two rounds of WSDC! In round 1 we will face Czechia, opposing the motion 'This House Supports Kenya's Special Economic Zones'. In round 2 we will face Ghana, proposing the motion 'This House Would classify all major organised crime groups as terrorist organisations'.

On 13th June 2026, the Scottish Schools Debating Team held the final training day for our 2025/2026 Junior Squad. As has become tradition, this took the form of a competition - The Junior Scotland Cup.

Over the weekend, Team Scotland participated in the online Austria Pre-WSDC competition as part of our preparation for the World Championships in Kenya next month. Scotland performed very well at this tournament - breaking third overall after the preliminary rounds.

Scotland won the final of the 2026 Six Nations debating competition! We faced Ireland in the final, winning unanimously. A great end to a busy weekend. And we finally have a group photo! 🦄

After an exceptionally competitive trials, we are thrilled to announce the five speakers who will be representing Scotland at the 2026 World Schools Debating Championships in Kenya!
