We at Wet Willie's accept all kinds, even those of us who are anthros. With this in mind, a new anthro capybara named Nibbles has started hanging out with us. He's a nice, laid back sort who doesn't have a mean word for anyone.

Motel 12 is a nationally known hotel chain with clean, comfortable rooms and stellar service, but the problem is they don't allow bears to stay there (we're just too destructive, according to them). I joined my brother bruins this weekend to protest this and hope they reverse their policy soon!

I love Halloween. The weather's cooling down, there's lots of candy to be had and of course every club in town throws a Halloween themed costume party!

By now I'd normally be registered for Arizona Fur Con and on site but of course that's never to happen again. Still I am optimistic when it comes to finding a convention that will take its place.

You know that I do my shopping for food at grocery stores just like anyone else. Even so, I am still subject to the occasion jokes about robbing "pic-a-nic" baskets from people. I do take such jokes in stride. The way I figure it is they're part and parcel of the bear I am. ;D

When I was younger, I did try to do the things that normal kids do. Here's a shot of me in high school enjoying a round of hacky sack.

The conventions over the years have had some unique events. For example, one convention I attended back in 2019 had an archery panel in keeping with its "summer camp" motif.

After my shift today I retired to the Sass Tester beside the stage. I'm very much a smart aleck but the machine only rated me a "sass snoozefest"! BOO HISS!

Went to a portrait studio over the weekend and had the photographer take a few snaps. I think the pictures (of this of course is one) came out very well indeed!

Video games are near and dear to my heart. I've often thought it would be fun to be Mario, living in the Mushroom Kingdom and fending off Bowser and company. The only thing is I'd have to go easy on the pizzas lest I get stuck popping out of a pipe.;-D

Was doing some window shopping recently when I came across this big, sad eyed capybara in the window of a toy store. I couldn't resist picking him up and taking him home with me. Say hello to "Nibbles".

I'll admit there are times when I do miss working at Totally 80s and participating in some of what they had to offer such as their annual prom dances. *sigh*

Went to an anthro convention over the weekend and decided I'd try one of those new-fangled taxi services. Chose "Lift" and thought I'd arrive in comfort. Instead rode over there in a huge bird's talons ("You asked for a LIFT, didn't you?" he squawked at me). Never again!

The mini convention I attended last weekend took place in a local tavern. It amused me that the gatekeeper carded me even though I knew damned well I was old enough to be his father or even grandfather. :/

Last night I attended a local anthro convention called The Ultimate Fur Con. It was small (only around 255 in attendance) but lots of fun. I hope they continue with this and hope that it eventually gets big enough to be a full 3 day anthro convention affair.

As a bear I've been asked if I follow the progress of my brother and sister bruins at the Katmai Preserve as they bulk up for the winter in their "Fat Bear Week" contest. I'll admit I do nominally but I don't really have a favorite.

I've met many strange people and creatures in my travels, some nice, some not. Some even make me uneasy like these two that I met at a holiday convention. Romero (man on left) and Raimi (deer on right) were nice enough but for some reason I felt better keeping my distance.

I honestly don't have much care for religion, even anthro ones. Whenever I hear advertisements for Big Bear (seen here) extolling the wonders of The United Church of the Fur (the very first Christian anthro church) I turn it off.

Hit a new place called "The Diner" for dinner today. Delicious food and the service was stellar!

I DO NOT do stage dives. Tried the stunt once while hosting at Totally 80s and not only found myself muzzle planted but also with my belly having broke a hole in the floor boards.

I'll admit that being an anthro does have its advantages at times. Once I got a summons for Jury Duty but was dismissed because no one wanted an actual bear on the presiding jury. ;/

It may sound rather infantile, but i do find cuddling soft plush animals keeps me warm and safe during those long, cold nights.

Before my shifts at Wet Willie's I'll often do window shopping in the stores surrounding the club. The stores offer an interesting mix of things from plants to artwork but nothing I really, really need.

Many of you humans have suggested that I join my brother bears at the Katmai Preserve in the "Fattest Bear" competition. I'm flattered, really, but I don't think I could eat as much as they can plus I can barely find clothing in my current size as it is.

As I said before, I saw many strange sights at Saboten Con a few weeks back. I even crossed paths with the Prince of the Cosmos (but thankfully he didn't want to roll me and my fellow congoers up in his Katamari Damacy (Spirit Ball).

Saw this sign at Saboten Con and it seems like good advice to me as long as I can "chill" to my favorite anthro themed anime movies like Ponpoko (adventures of a group of raccoons) and Porco Rosso (the adventures of a World War One fighter pilot turned into a pig).

Certain conventions I've attended have these so called "Animaru Maid Cafes" where anthros dress up in maid costumes and bring you drinks and snacks while you relax. I love participating in these events because they offer a nice respite from the normal hustle and bustle associated with a convention.

I'm a convention veteran so I'm used to seeing weird things at conventions, but I'll have to admit that some of the things I saw at Saboten Con took the cake in terms of weirdness!!!!

As you know I spent last weekend at Saboten Con. I had expected to see a good number of my anthro brothers and sisters there but anthro attendance was quite sparse, sadly enough. *sigh*

Foxes and Peppers. Though not anthros per se, they do produce some of the finest anthro music you'd wish to hear!

Took in the 1975 blockbuster Jaws at a local theater today. I'd seen it before on the small screen but it was a special experience to see on the big one. The big screen experience made it even better to..."sink my teeth into it". ;D

Last weekend I attended Saboten Con, a local anime/gaming convention. I wondered what I'd look like as a manga character so I commissioned an artist to do it. I think i look just as cute in manga as I do otherwise. ;D

Packing's done. Within 24 hours I'll be checked in to the local Hareadin hotel and ready to party for Sabtoencon. Can't wait!

Spent the day shopping for the things I'd need for my convention. I have most of what I need already but I did pick up some pelt moisturizing cream and some snacks to have between meals.

Today I got my suitcases down and started packing for Saboten Con, a local gaming/anime convention that will be held next weekend. This will be a new convention experience for me and I can't wait to go.

At times our anthro cons offer unique services. For excample there was a kiosk open during Furhter Confusion 2019 that offered massages for the tired and sore attendants.

PE as a cub was never pleasurable for me. Most of the time wrecked the equipment by being too heavy for it such as doing my turn on the "pull up bar" and causing it to bend out of shape. :/

You'll notice that I never wear shoes. Why should I with those big bear paw hind feet of mine not to mention a big bear belly in the way that makes tying one's shoelaces difficult if not nearly impossible!

Last night was my first as host for Wet Willie's. I was teamed with DJ Jack Dreamer (not only a DJ but also one of the managers) and had a lot of fun. Made a respectable amount of tips and everyone was so welcoming!

.I just received my rating from the ratings board and find it very favorable! ;D

Today found me working on updating my host patter scripts and otherwise getting ready for my first shift at Wet Willie's tomorrow night. Can't wait!

When I was let go by Totally 80s, I took a gamble by applying to host at some of the clubs I frequent. Jack, one of the general managers of Wet Willies sat me down for an interview tonight and hired me! I'll be doing Mondays and Wednesdays 10 pm to 12 am. Can't wait!
