There was a period in my life where we were visiting Colorado about once a year, and man do I feel ever privileged to have spent even a brief time around mountains like that. Anyway, giant snake.

I also did some block printing around 2019. Would like to pick it back up, even though I cut the hell out of my hand twice while doing it (like a fool). We have a garage now and I could potentially put a little press together and store it.

Pre-Pandemic, I took a screen printing course. I still have a bunch of these just waiting for me to table at a con or art market again. The many-legged bird is still one of my favs!

I have been playing with acrylic gouache, this is on canvas paper.

So, while I've been hiding under a rock for two years, my sister and I picked up work on our middle grade book again. Its a magical fantasy journey where two little black girls are transported to the north pole. Its sweet and full of the warm vibes of our childhood holidays. Here is the cover!

When the pandemic hit I said fuck it. I got a new job and took a month off between them, and broke out a bunch of my art supplies. I shared these to insta but sharing felt hollow. This Dusknoir and little polymer clay things were the last things I shared before that feeling sank in and took hold.

I guess I actually need to be active to get an invite to provide back to the folk that got me in here, so I'm going to root around for some work. I stopped posting my work online for the better part of two years to reset my brain from social media, and I dont regret it.
