I get that Trump wants to ramp up ICE violence to provoke a violent reaction from the public to (do something nefarious). I don't get the incentive to be a front line ICE agent doing that provocation given that when the dam breaks, you're the one who's likely to get shot at.

Long ago, his cartoons were edgy, almost "woke" & populist. Somehow, he got pulled into the MAGA world, incinerating his reputation and career. It's a cautionary tale of how smart people can end up on the wrong side of truth and history. I wish I understood why & how, it makes no sense to me.
