Yesterday, I stood alongside more than 100 environmental advocates from Conservation Voters of PA, PennFuture, and other organizations at the main rotunda. They were here at the Capitol to support legislation to promote and protect clean water and energy, including my House Bill 2302.

Last week, I had the pleasure of serving as a judge for the National Civics Bee for the fourth year in a row and seeing so many bright young students in action 💫

It's wonderful to see our community come together during Earth Month for the Spring Creek Watershed Cleanup. This was the 30th annual event & more than 800 of our neighbors stepped up to volunteer and work together to pick up trash along our waterways and roadways, pull invasive vegetation, & more.

Starting today, future educators across Pennsylvania can apply for the 2026–27 PA Student Teacher Support Program — including a $10,000 stipend to help support their student teaching experience.

My first P(au)licy Brief highlights legislation that I’m currently working on to help protect the more than 3 million Pennsylvanians who rely on private water wells. Ours is one of only two states without statewide requirements or regulations for water well drillers or their work.

I’m happy to announce $221,270 in grant funding awarded to Trout Unlimited Inc. to support important work in Snow Shoe Township and the Beech Creek Watershed. This project is an important step toward reclaiming abandoned mine land by creating engineering plans and securing permits.

My team and I joined the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission for a tour of the Benner Springs hatchery and gave them a hand loading and stocking thousands of trout in and around Whipple Dam State Park, including some real “trophy”-sized rainbows and palominos.

💰 Did you know that the State is holding more than $25 million(!) in unclaimed property from Centre County residents? On April 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., my office will be partnering with the PA Treasury to host an Unclaimed Property Event at Centre Care in State College.

I had a great time last night helping judge the Charney’s Chopped fly tying competition hosted by Spring Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited, alongside legendary fly fisherman Joe Humphreys. It was so much fun seeing the skill and creativity of all the contestants!

Yesterday, Rep. Conklin and I met with students at SCASD's Delta Program to talk about proposed legislation requiring cell phone bans in schools. I appreciated the opportunity to listen, answer questions, and hear directly from the students who will impacted by these decisions.
