The thing thatās so incoherent about this is that yes, of course the 7/7 bombers were British. They were British terrorists. Being a massive arsehole doesnāt stop you being British, which is good news for Matt Goodwin otherwise he might find himself stateless.

Why post that question under a photo that shows it wasnāt? Time to put the spotlight on this flaw in the system. All this money on cameras and canāt get a basic decision right. Pathetic

VAR is absolute garbage for stuff like this. Why canāt a quick line call be made? Weāve got to defend better though havenāt we?

Dyche is a better manager than his image suggests. We cannot afford to let our league status slip after the huge investment weāve made. It might be a safety first appointment but weāre complacent if we think safety first is a bad thing now

This is an exact encapsulation of why I moved to Bluesky. No amount of handwringing in the Atlantic about how I owe some eternal Promethean suffering to the discourse is going to make me stay on a site I hate, that stopped doing anything for me professionally years ago.

If nothing else, Ange has never really given off the vibe of a man who wants this job has he? Downbeat, gruff, defensive. Maybe all sides would be happier to admit an error and move on?

Foundations from the first half but couldnāt build on them. Desperately need a formula for clean sheets to stem the bleeding. Ange tried a Nuno tribute act but couldnāt pull it off?

We always get a dodgy VAR there. Whatās the point? Yates got booked for less. Williams got booked for less. Mardying at the ref has worked for them. Canāt afford to let it get to us

Credit where itās due, a better shape and plan so far. Ndoye bright and MGW the best threat as an inside forward. Like that one of the centre halves has licence to attack the ball to try to win it. Not sure Newcastle will be as flat for the full 90 but something to build on

I do happen to think that Ange is held to a different standard nationally - with more ridicule - because heās been at Spurs and all that happened here. The circus might be slightly unfair but not sure we need it tbh

The thing he can control is sending out a side thatās well organised, tactically savvy and has a plan to rally around. Its arrogant and naive to assume you can go out and play without those in place

Huge day for Ange. Needs to get something here to cling to and begin his reign in earnest. The sooner we can get Anderson-MGW-Luiz to click the better. Worry a bit about being pedestrian at centre half

Some bright moments (before it fell apart) from players that will enjoy sparking off each other. If Kalimuendo couldāve stayed onside twice the game wouldāve been put to bed. Frustrating night in the end though

No surprises there. Baptism of fire for Ange. Badly need a bit of a spark to rediscover some self belief. Thereās a good way to lose to Arsenal away (see the game where Elanga gave them a scare) or thereās that. Open the floor to the new boys midweek and ask them to stake a claim
