I used to avoid sharing my political views as the current admin requires immigrants to provide their social media accounts to the gov. But I am sick of this. It was never about the legal status or criminality of immigrants. 6 years of being away home, no conferences abroad since 2019, and now more?

Universities are not subject to the H1B cap, so they have many, many H1Bs. If they're subject to the new $100,000 H1B fee, that would be catastrophic to many departments.
