Happy Thursday. Exciting day as my sister is meeting movers at her new home today and begins the gruesome task of unpacking and organizing. I'll be over there probably a few hours a day helping here and there plus most of the weekend. Have to hang blinds, assemble furniture, etc so lots to do!

Whelp, first actual repair job on the house done. $2300 repair on HVAC due to a coil leak. Had lost over 80% refrigerant and appears to be a manufacturing flaw from Covid era. Warranty covered parts, not the gas or labor tho. Just glad to get heat functioning and prepped for summer heat.

Happy Fri-YAY!!! Repair to our heat begins at 930 this morning. Manf defect (peak covid-era construction) in the coil causing it to leak the gas. Part under warranty but still cost $2k for labor and to recharge new gas. Blessed its not as cold as elsewhere but still hitting 20s at night

Just ran to pharmacy after work. Oddly saw they salted their lot and sidewalk and obvious brine had been sprayed on streets. No snow really forecasted here, do they think the storm from the Midwest will hit us? 🤣

Not the best night to lose our heat but survived of course. HVAC tech comes over lunch to find the problem snd get us back to proper functionality. Still trying to warm my fingers and toes while my small space heater and fireplace work OT

In HVAC hell trying to troubleshoot why the house drops to 60 at night and doesn't keep temp. Temp from vent was barely 65. Thought I had it yesterday and did again overnight. Then after work, it was 75 and air was 90. Not sure if thermostat changes I did just took time to learn or what

Bit more disheveled than normal but has been a busy day. Trip to recycling, Lowes, grocery, and cutting down a 4x8 sheet of foam to seal the crawlspace vents for the winter. Floor has been like ice in the mornings and the heat struggles to keep temp overnight, so hope that works!

New phone, who dis? Finally upgraded to the S25+ due to data port issues. Largely all back to normal now and apps seem to all be settled and the bloat deleted. Off soon to look at another home for my sister after like 5 or 6 yesterday. She wants a 2nd look at a fav then wife will join for the rest.
