A weird part of world building that you don't think about when you first start writing a fantasy / sci fi world, is what a lamp would look like if it was created with alien materials rather than human ones. You'd think it's lang or customs, but really, most of your time is spent on lamps

A plus to using google docs: I don't lose 6k or my drafts anymore or 12k of full chapters because of failed saves. A downside to google docs: their spellchecker is the worst thing I have ever seen, quite possibly ever.

1. My main reason for following writers these days isn't for updates (I read WIPs and if I like yours I'm going to sub and probably follow your socials, even if your last update was in 2019), but! It's always fun to read WIPWednesdays, see any commissioned art, get the "behind the scenes" scoop, etc

ngl i don’t care about any of this because i follow fellow writers to just simply support their craft. you don’t have to do anything in your downtime for me to want to follow you. i usually find new writers through their ao3 fic notes and i like to follow them to social media so i can promote their+

I love seeing people’s creative work on here and discovering more stories and art, but I think the writers I follow on here, more than anything I just enjoy hearing about their lives, their writing frustrations, the fun bts brainworm they have that day.

1. I follow lots of writers who churning out works constantly and I follow them, because I want to know more about them. Interact with folks, post WIP Wednesday clips, share your thoughts on new/old Bangtan things. Be yourself!

according to my Nov tracker, I've written 19k this month across three projects!! EEEEEE. That is so crazy!! I wish it was 19k for one project so it's more of an accomplishment, but still!! That is so crazy. 19k of fresh first drafts and 24k edited already written drafts for a fest in the far future

When I was only on Wattpad, I was easy to recognize. Many stories played on “finding the right person after the wrong one” thematically. Since moving to AO3, I’ve been far more experimental with genres and plots, so I don’t think my AO3 era has had enough time to develop a distinct style yet
