Today in the Rainbow Room garden the children spent lots of time creating their own obstacle courses they created these using different loose parts and showed how good their climbing and jumping skills are. The children also used their knowledge of safety to make sure their courses were good to go😁

In the Butterfly Room we have been exploring how to mix colours together to create new colours. To do this we have been using pipettes and coloured water. We have been watching the liquid merge on the kitchen roll, discussing what we could see happening.

The children have been doing science experiments in the garden. They made a fizzing bubbly witches brew which they used to make magic spells. We then made some rainbow cloud rain drops where the children used pipettes to make the colourful rain drops as they watched the colours dropping down.

The Butterfly and Rainbow room children were enjoying the nice Spring weather with a trip to the park and spent lots of time climbing,sliding and playing with friends 😊🛝

The rainbow room children continue to enjoy the balance bikes and following instructions “around the cones”. They have also been focusing on putting on there own helmets with some managing to clip these by themselves.

Some of the children were having so much fun playing ‘Gooey Louie’ with their peers, practicing sharing and turn taking. Some children were modelling how to play this game to their peers too, sharing their knowledge of how to play it. Well done!

Recently some of the children were modelling their woodwork skills to their peers and others were beginning their woodwork journey by initially hammering their nails into the log/stump. The children were being very imaginative as they created their own wonderful models

We opened up the side garden today, giving the children more space to explore and ride bikes. We were exploring risky play riding down the ramps and making sure we wore our helmets to keep safe.
