Strike news! Canada Post is moving from full strike to rolling strikes. This means mail will start moving again. For now, almost all packages will still be send courier. We'll only use Can Post for domestic PO Box addresses or if out of range of the courier.

Ya, so, fun story ... reopening delayed until tomorrow. Tech issues. Pretty close to having them sorted, but the fallout will take a couple hours to deal with. Instead of reopening in the middle of the night, shop will open back up at noon tomorrow (Sunday, Sep 14 - Eastern time)

Shop reopens Sept 13th for Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. US orders are suspended still until shipping options can be worked out. (New Releases for Fall & Halloween coming Sep 17th! Post image miiiiiiight be a clue to the Halloween Theme this year. 😉💛🎬🔪🎃)

Oops! Last night, I closed the shop to work on back end things in prep for Sept release & new shipping/customs reqs. Made a copy of the scent list available for reference in a google doc, so folks can look them up when the site is not open. But: I forgot to share it publicly. Fixed now!

Reopening on or before Sep 13th with new Fall and Halloween releases. Shop will be open for Canada and select Int'l countries. US may not be on that list yet, until shipping becomes available again. Fingers crossed Canada Post or Chitchats gets something in place by 9/13 but not counting on it. :(

Between Canada Post & Chitchats (my non-postal carrier), whoever figures out CUSMA/USMCA integration with the least friction will get my business. Both have systems in process, but right now: fewer question marks on the Chitchats side. So much uncertainty still. (Reopening announcement soon tho!)

AI is not used at any stage of the process, from formulation/creation to writing marketing emails. It's becoming harder and harder to avoid, but we're doing our best to hold the line! #noAI

Minor update: Had planned to get all sale orders out by Tuesday, but Shopify is having issues connecting with Canada Post, so that might delay things by up to a day. If it goes on longer than that I'll have to switch to our 3rd party courier instead. Still operating under TAT, even with the delay.

Updated-updated: all gone! Sale orders will be all be shipping out over the next 2-3 days. Shop will properly reopen early to mid August. Tea collection from last year will be back, along with Fall part one new release!

Pretty ridiculous that, in 2025, Shopify *still* does not have Bluesky as an option for social media links in email footers or on site pages. Gotta put an old fashioned link in manually -- but every other damn platform run by their techbro-bros have easy automation and design integration...

Canada Post strike news, latest from the Union. If the upcoming vote by Union members is No and they reject the terms currently on the table, the Union does not at this time plan to escalate to full work stoppage. Meaning: when PULP reopens we'll likely be back to full regular Canada Post shipping.

Have seen latest Orange Toddler Tariff BS. Until Exec Order is posted, not much to say. If USMCA exemptions remain and/or if de minimis remains (as-is, or minimally modified), possibly no change here. We'll see! Worrying in advance is what fearmongers want & I'm not gonna give him the satisfaction.

Latest on the Canada Post strike: union will be forced to vote on current offers from mgmt. No date for the vote is set yet, but today union was notified that members need to update contact info by July 7th, so it looks like nothing will happen at least until then. More updates as I know them!

Canada Post workers are not actively engaging in work stoppage, but are in a strike position. Work stoppage (full or rotating) could occur anytime. What does this mean? Mail is happening but with delays & could stop with no notice, leaving en route packages stranded for an indeterminate period. 🧵/

Guess what might be arriving/returning soon? May release was paused until we at least found out how the postal strike shapes up, but I am hoping that by this time next week we'll have a new groove & soon be able to drop some lovely new things!
