Engine close to finished on the Cadbury Cat - exhausts and radiators still to finish weathering before they're fitted. With that done, it'll be about half finished.

Well, with the Malibu Gasser almost complete, it's time to start thinking about Build Eight for '26. And with Le Mans this weekend, what better time than this to get the Cadbury Cat built..?

Revell/Monogram '66 Chevy Malibu Gasser almost finished - just needs decals and a little finessing. Took a roll on my mojo for some reason, like the Camaro I last built.

Ohhhh boy. THIS could be EPIC. Tamiya Porsche Carrera GT, coming later this year. Fingers crossed, this might be my best work yet... We shall see!

After FAR too long, the Mojo Killer Camaro is finally finished. No idea why this REALLY broke my flow - you'd think a tribute build to the fourth model car I ever built would go quickly...

I live in the Makerfield constituency. Looks like the great political battle of the year will be fought on my doorstep. And what's that? The first TV crew already this afternoon - outside that epicentre of British politics - Aldi in Bryn!

In other news, THIS was a HUGE eBay score for me! Doesn't look like much, I know, but building the kit of this shitbox back in '91 (when the kit was already very old) is one of my earliest modelbuilding memories. No decals this time, sadly - but this is going to be done justice this time.

I'm not sure why, but the Camaro turned out to be a bit of a Mojo-killer. I may yet change my mind about those wheels, and use the Kit BBS ones like the first time I built it (in 1988). Almost done.

Final mockup on the '81 Camaro - I think I'll go with these Porsche GT1 wheels - they're an up-to-date tribute to the more classic BBS wheels in the original kit. Nearly there.

So - Build Six for 2026 will be this Revell '79 Chevy Camaro - the old Monogram Midnite Z kit, with a few tweaks for this Stranger Things edition. Fun fact - Midnite Z was the fourth (or maybe 5th) model I ever built, back in 1988 - another tribute build incoming, hence the colour...

Know what? I'm happy with that. Think I rescued it from the jaws of defeat. Right - on to the next one... But which? All will be revealed...

Okay... It's as close to being in one piece as I can get it, so it's time to get cracking on the Homebrew livery - here's where I am so far...

A bit of fiddling and fettling has got it looking better. Not perfect, but it'll do. Livery work starts tomorrow.

Well, I can't disguise my disappointment. I don't remember this kit being such a PIG to align the front cowl, and I've built it twice before. I think it really was warped or squashed a bit. Ah well. Almost done - will need to devise my homebrew livery very soon...

And if you're of a certain age, you remember the tune that was the closing 'sting' for every edition...

Body mockup on the DTM C-Class. Either it's a little bit warped, or it got a bit squashed in storage - fitment and alignment is a tad off. Getting there - a couple more days left, I think...

Life threw a spanner in the works, but the GNX is finally finished! I'm happy with it, but one or two parts weren't a great fit. Those wing mirrors did NOT want to stay on.

Well, doing a week of Night Shifts does precisely diddly squat for my modelling mojo, but the GNX is almost done - just decals and details to fit. Eagle-eyed readers will notice that I've made a final decision on wheels - the OZ wheels from the old Esprit Sport300 kit fit the bill nicely...

Spent my birthday afternoon/evening rescuing someone's cat from my tree. Was almost a job for the Fire Brigade (in the end, Facebook found the owner...)

Sooo close with the GNX now - still got some detail parts to fit, and I probably will stick with the Testarossa wheels - at least they're 80s!

Maybe getting ahead of myself a little, but when the GNX is done, I'm finally going to get my homebrew Tamiya DTM C-Class Mercedes built. Original decals are VERY dead, so Warsteiner livery incoming...

Approaching the finish line with the GNX - some detail work to finish, might get it done tomorrow. We'll see.

GNX is coming along. Still some way to go, but it might be finished this weekend. I'll have to decide about wheels soon...

Nineteen pieces so far for this turbo V6 for the Buick GNX - I've built this engine twice, the last time I attempted this kit in about '91/92, and in the Firebird GTA kit by the same manufacturer. I don't remember so many parts, but I can't fault Monogram's ambition. They even FIT!

Thanks everyone for your comments on the '49 - I'm wasting no time in moving on to Build Four for '26 - the Revell/Monogram '87 Buick GNX. Purists, look away now - this won't be a stock build...
