There are things I find succesful in my painting, but other things only so and so. It doesn't feel as a failure, not really, it has certainly teached me a lot! Maybe worth a 2nd attempt.

W.i.p. Only a few things to do, adjustments, to finish this one! (Just a small practise to come in the flow from painting portraits again. I love my retired life!)

W.i.p. Something different and out of my comfortzone. It's asking layers and therefore a lot of patience. Subject: reflection in a window of an abandoned building

W.i.p. It was a risk, but adding a darker background is really helping to see more clear where I am heading.

W.i.p. But ... it will be for a while. Tomorrow I am packing my suitcase for a trip to the amazing yearly event of Fabriano In Acquarello! For me, a gathering with friends from all over the globe. Love this! Followed by a painting holiday for a week.

Here is your country. Cherish these natural wonders, cherish the history and romance as a sacred heritage for your children and your children's children. Do not let selfish men or greedy interests skin your country of its beauty, its riches or its romance. Teddy Roosevelt, 26th President of the US

Spending time with grandkids yesterday. A smile from the almost 2 months old granddaughter melted my heart. Watching the grandson (the one with the blue jack) interacting with his schoolfriends and during an organised walk with stories after school was great to see. So proud of him, he is so good!

My grandson will have a theme week about art in school. They will visit a museum and I am invited to come (they asked the parents if they know an artist or someone who can explain a technique) Just trying out a few simple things. Will be fun with 4 and 5 y olds to show them!
