There seems to be some misunderstandings about the recent James Bond expanded albums coming from @lalalandrecords.bsky.social so I wrote up this response. If you like it, feel free to let your friends know. A lot of this can also apply to other expanded albums I've produced.

Looking at this year's official selections, I realized I forgot to post some submission updates: my screenplay The Silver Wings was an official selection at the Beverly Hills Film Festival '25, semifinalist at Flicker's Rhode Island International '24, and honorable mention at Big Apple FF '24.

Super fun to see my student's screening at the ILM theater at Lucasfilm yesterday with the SF Film Festival! It was great to see how each young writer/filmmaker in the program approached their various projects and channeled their own point of view. Some top tier work!

On this day in 1976 principle photography on "Star Wars" began at Elstree Studios. While first scenes were shot in Tunisia in March, production at Elstree began in April with the filming of scenes like the cantina. Here's my photo of the Lucas Stage at Elstree (from outside the fence). MTFBWY!

Rewatching this doc. It's a personal story about going to India in 68 to study meditation with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi (along with The Beatles, who were also there). The doc uses great photos, contemporary interviews, and a trip back to the ashram. I'm enjoying the revisit myself via the film!

Thinking back to Rutherford Chang's exhibit "We Buy White Albums" in 2017. A creative idea to spotlight the limited-edition quality of the original record, as well as our collective interaction with The Beatles via customized sleeves by past owners. Chang passed last January.

I enjoyed rewatching Scorsese's doc about George Harrison again. This Korean poster uses one of MANY photos of The Beatles exploring photography. I love that their creativity & curiosity never ebbed; not even during rare moments of downtime. Looking forward to the upcoming George photo book.
