It was an absolute honour to speak at an event in Parliament, welcoming a Fijian delegation to the UK. The Speaker of the Fijian Parliament, the High Commissioner of Fiji, and Fijian MPs and officials joined us in Westminster, celebrating the bonds between our two countries.

Across Wolverhampton North East, there are numerous places to pay respects to our fallen heroes. I laid a wreath in Heath Town Park, at the statue of the WWI Infantryman. As each year passes, keeping their memory alive becomes ever more important. We will remember them.

On Remembrance Day, it is important that we pay respects to our fallen, who gave their lives so that we might be free. I laid a wreath in Short Heath, in commemoration of those who made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our way of life, and our nation.

Wednesfield came together on Sunday to remember. It was a pleasure to join both the wreath laying ceremony, and a service at St Thomas' on such a sombre day. Without fail, year in, year out, the people of Wednesfield share their pride, their memories, and their respects.

I headed down to the Springfield Campus in Wolverhampton North East, where the University of Wolverhampton has absolutely transformed the former Springfield Brewery into a thriving centre of learning, with even bigger plans for the future.

Remembrance Sunday is a solemn time, where we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defending our freedoms. Earlier in the week, I laid a stake on behalf of residents of Wolverhampton North East in the House of Commons Memorial Garden. This year, as every year, we will remember them.

It was a busy morning as I visited Northwood Park Primary, one of the biggest schools in our area which has a whopping four form entry in years 3 and 5!

Don't let the rainy weather put you off, I had a wonderful day at Northycote Farm! It's a wonderful green oasis for a walk in Wolverhampton, and better than that, the cosy café is serving up some wonderful treats. I always have a great time at Northycote. It is an absolute gem in our city!

The Arena Theatre is one of our Wolverhampton treasures, with a huge range of cultural experiences to enjoy. Thank you to the Jaivant Patel company for putting on this amazing sow, where the audience were treated to the amazing music of Akash Parekar on the Sitar and Harikat Sahota on the Tabla.

I attended a vital meeting at New Cross Hospital, as teams came together from across the city and region to discuss UK-India collaboration in health, research, education, and innovation. It was an honour to join the ministerial delegation.

Wow! What an evening in Phoenix Park to celebrate the Diwali event! With capacity for 9000, the park was absolutely packed for an evening of singing, dancing, and performances. Well done to the Council and Mr Sharma for their hard work delivering Diwali as a stalwart of the city’s events calendar!

The Council and myself have seen some exciting plans for Broadway Shops in Bushbury North which I cannot wait to share with you. In the meanwhile, I popped down, as residents regularly contact me about ASB and littering.

It was fantastic to see not just Mayor of the West Midlands Richard Parker in Westminster, but also the Leader of the Council and Tim Johnson as the region celebrated the launch of their ambitious growth plan!

I asked the Home Secretary about policing numbers in Wolverhampton, and the West Midlands. It is vital that we get our fair share of officers in the Midlands. I know that this is an issue that residents are hugely passionate about, and I promise to keep campaigning.

Did you know that PACT meetings have been renamed as Love Your Community? I enjoyed popping down to Low Hill Community Centre to speak with residents at one of these meetings.

It was fantastic to attend the Wolverhampton Business Breakfast hosted by wonderful Wulfrunian Amber Sandhu! As the MP for Wolverhampton North East, it’s always amazing going to this event. Just last year, we were celebrating Wavensmere getting planning permission!

It was wonderful to join residents at the Saragahri Mounment in Wednesfield, outside of the Guru Nanak Gurdwara. It was fantastic to address the crowd and join people in paying our respect to the fallen soldiers. It was fantastic to see the regiment march and hear from the bugler.

🌟 You may have seen Colleen Green on This Morning, receiving the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award – I had the privilege of congratulating her in person. Colleen has given an incredible 55 years to Beacon Academy – from pupil at age 3 (her mum was the school cook!) to Assistant Headteacher.🏅

To mark the start of Black History Month, last week I popped down to our fantastic art gallery in Wolverhampton. It is fantastic to walk into the Gallery and be greeted with the amazing statue of Mel Chevannes CBE, the first Afro-Caribbean to become a Councillor in Wolverhampton!

For an MP, weekends often mean getting on the doorstep and speaking to residents, so it was fantastic to be in Heath Town recently! If you have issues you would like to raise with me, I am available through coffee mornings, 1:1 surgeries, virtual surgeries, and often on the doorstep!

It was an absolute honour to be a guest at the amazing Wolverhampton Young Citizen of the Year awards run by the fantastic Rotary Clubs in the city. Held in the stunning Chancellor's Hall at the University, we celebrated the 12th year of these awards, and of course the winners and runners up!

It was lovely to be at the Low Hill 100 Celebration at Low Hill Library. We heard poetry and learnt all about the history of the wonderful building, and the wider estate. It was a fantastic morning, and the exhibition will be staying until the end of the month for anybody who wants to check it out.

It was an emotional day in Parliament as Johanna Baxter MP hosted a screening of “Children in the Fire: Ukraine’s War” followed by a Q&A with three of these children. Vlad, Valeria and Roman shared their own experience having being forcibly transferred into Russia.

A lovely afternoon at Willenhall Chart Community Hub for Together in Bloom – showcasing amazing local talent in art, photography and poetry. A special shout-out to Saida Chowdury on launching her debut collection of poems, Broken Minds, a moving collection from depression to love and strength.
