Today has been a real T-shirt and shorts kind of day. It was also a raincoat and umbrella kind of day. At one moment it was a weigh down your cat and watch for flying trampolines kind of day. I can’t keep up! 🤷‍♂️

Yesterday we picked up a passenger dressed as a giant banana 🤔 He sat in the buffet coach I guess to see the other fruit 🤷‍♂️ Thought he might be a slippery customer but seemed okay. Didn’t go all the way to Norwich, he split at Stowmarket 🙂

When I was a young boy I was occasionally treated to a trip to St Pancras station to watch the Intercity 125s. I fondly remember watching the Midland Mainline livery swap from old to new style so seeing this the other day really made me smile 😊

As I was crossing London I got the loveliest wave from a tiny passenger at the front of a Docklands Light Railway train today. He was doing a fine job of driving that (driverless) train too! 🙂

I’ve got a long shift ahead of me, but at least I’ve got a fine chariot for company 😊

Today is day 91 of 200 so naturally it’s an opportunity to pull out one of my favourite photos 😊

On this day in 1968 the last steam hauled train ran for British Railways. They then decided to ban steam forever so we would never see a steam loco on the mainline. I’m pleased to see that went well 😂

It looks like it’s gonna be a sunny one today so don’t forget to find some shade for your loco 👍
