Highlands Rewilding has lodged a formal objection to the proposed Glen Earrach pumped-storage hydro scheme at Loch Ness. The filing warns the project could render the loch effectively “quasi-tidal”, with regular water-level swings and associated risks to biodiversity and protected habitats.

Can sheep help our trees grow? 🐑🌱 Ranger Daniel Holm tried a simple idea: wrapping saplings with locally sourced sheep fleece to deter deer. Co-chief scientist Penelope Whitehorn has launched a follow-up experiment: spraying saplings with lanolin, the natural wax found in wool. #NatureBasedSolutions
