The Gobots comic strip ran in Canadian newspapers came to an abrupt ending after 10 installments. It is unknown if this was due to other installments not being found or the strip being canceled as the strip doesn't have a conclusive ending and even says "to be continued"

Despite the rest of the Gobots getting new designs in their original color schemes in the Renegade Rhetoric collages, the G1 Gobots (Bug Bite, Pathfinder, Spay-C, Road Ranger, Bad Boy, and Treds) all kept their G1 Gobots designs as did the ones that didnt get toys but got... 1/2

Machine Robo Wedge shows original concept art for Machine Robo Rescue, which was significantly different from what would become the actual toys with the concept art having individual characters that combined rather than teams of drones that combine with one torso robot.

Outside of the cartoon where Puzzler would get a whole episode dedicated to him, the only piece of contemporary he made an appearance in was the 10 issue Gobots comic strip. This is the extent of his appearances in the comic strip. Poor buds.

This prototype Devil Invader shows up in Machine Robo Wedge, and then later we see it in concept art with a vehicle mode. I don't know who this is supposed to be a prototype of if anyone but maybe Casmodon / Vamp cause of the wheel thighs?

The Singaporean release of Bike Robo (Cy-Kill) is notable for it's poorer quality than the other releases with bumpy metal casting, thin paint, and missing paint.

Due to his unique transformation requiring him to have one, Zig Zag is one of if not the only Gobot to have a waist swivel.

A prototype of Puzzler had a different design than the regular release with green windows on Rube and Zig Zag as well as flames on Tic Tac instead of the vent detail on the retail release. There was also another prototype that kept the flames but removed the green windows.

For (as far as I'm aware) the first time Mugenbine Musou figures have appeared on BBTS although only the second volume of figures for now.

Their inclusion over the rest of the Devil Invaders can't be because of leftover Gobots stock either because the ones that released in Robo Machines had a completely different color scheme than the Gobots releases.

Robotech (adaptation of Macross and other Japanese franchises ran by H*rm*ny G*ld) got some of the Arco toys that were made for Gobots, namely the transforming play gu.... holy fuck Desk-Bot.

This year, and more specifically today, is the fortieth year anniversary of the animated film following the best 80s transforming robot toyline that was a sequel to the tv series and came out in 1986.

Man-O-War's Robo Machine figure had a white and red color scheme rather than grey and red, a rare example of the Gobots version having the same colors as the Machine Robo version and the Robo Machines one having the wrong colors, usually if it was different it was the Gobots one.

Considering the Gobots version's already massive sticker sheet, I think removing the additional stickers was probably the right move.

Baron Von Joy's name in the Gobots show is Professor Von Joy. However, there was actually an earlier working name for the cartoon character, which was "Professor Q. Bot" which would've been delightfully amazing.

Highway Robo was a Machine Robo figures to never release in Gobots. However, they did get a Gobots design and name as part of the Renegade Rhetoric collage image, being named Hi-Way and designed after not an actual toy but based on this bus guy from Transformers vs G.I. Joe.

The only Devil Invaders that released in Robo Machines were Cosmodon, Falgos, and Zarios with Gildis and Baldas never releasing. Despite that, the 3 that never released in Machine Robo but did in Gobots were all released in Robo Machines.

In the Robo Machines comic the Devil Invaders (Monster Gobots) were referred to as the Devil Invaders like they were in Machine Robo but Cosmodon, Zarios, and Falgos all released as the Enemy Invaders.

While the Gobots show tried, especially earlier in its lifetime to be accurate to the toys, the main 3 Renegades did go through some design changes when translated from toy to show. The most obvious of these is Crasher, whose whole color scheme was changed. Cop-Tur got a... 1/2

I've never mentioned it before but what is likely by far Gobots most popular contribution to the 21st century is a plethora of Gobots Robot Chicken sketches.

The new Mugenbine Musou blind box series have advertised combination modes and seemingly they're all going to be dinosaur / animal themed with the first series' combination being a T-Rex and the second series' combination being a triceratops.

The Gobots show tries to at least loosely have the characters transform the way the toys do. I say loosely cause sometimes instances like this happen where something happens that the toy can't physically do like in this scene Crashers head is 180 degrees from where it... 1/2

Spy-Eye released in both Gobots and Robo Machines but with completely different color schemes and stickers. This is common for a lot of figures. However, most of those that this happened to were originally from Machine Robo then brought over, and naturally Robo Machine got... 1/3

Can't believe I forgot to update this post but thanks to @BLOODRAGED189 on Twitter for pointing out that the two molds I say I didn't know where they come from came from the Trailerlobstereggplant when it comes to the eggplant and Pizza-laPoliceMotorcycle for the motorcycle.

This figure from Mugenbine Musou's second wave is pretty obviously a reference to Machine Robo Drill Robo. The most obvious part of that is the drill on the head. However, there is also some detail like treads on the arms, making it obvious it turns into a similar vehicle.

The second series of Mugenbine Musou figures has been revealed and just like the last one it contains 4 different figures and in 3 different color variants. There is also a combined mode you can make if you get all 4 which is a triceratops.

Interestingly, Gobots doesn't do mass shifting quite as much as G1 transformers with characters like Leader-1 who are obviously too small to be the actual size of his alt mode turning into scaled down versions of it rather than a size accurate one. Same with Dive Dive... 1/2

Vamp's Renegade Rhetoric collage image design doesn't use Ripclaw as a base despite Ripclaw being a homage to Vamp, this may seem weird at first especially since the design instead used Cybertron Megatron for the body and Chop Shop's head however, seeing the results it works imo.

Pumper didn't release in Canada (probably due to safety regulations concerning his very small gun which is seemingly why he never released in Europe or Australia), however we do know that since he was listed on cross-sells his bilingual name would've been Pompeur in Canada.

The Boomer Vehicles did receive digital designs for the Renegade Rhetoric collage images and both were designed after Blastcharge from Beast Machines.

Blast is the Renegade Boomer vehicle and made only one appearance in any media and that was in the episode Terror in Atlantis where it was used by Guardian-affiliated humans.

Transformers Age of the Primes Gobots Universe Power Warrior Nemesis 7/7

Nemesis did receive a digital design for the Fun Publications mural despite the toy never being released. The design is based on the Prime Bumblebee Battle Suit toy's alt mode.

The toy packaging for the Gobot Boomers is the only thing to ever portray them having a personality, and every other piece of media completely ignores this and fully depicts them as being mindless drones or as vehicles.

A new Machine Robo Unitroborn figure has been revealed and this time it is a crossover with the Manga series Crayon Shin-chan! The figure consists of Shin-Chan and a container of Chocobi which is the character's favorite snack!

Crazy Hasbro made a figure based on the Machine Robo Best 5 version of Trailer Robo aka Road Ranger and we just never talked about it.

There was also a knockoff motorized version that tried a similar type of leg motorization as the weird Robo Leader knockoff but its obviously a different mold. This knockoff goes for a very... minimalist take on Road Ranger's color scheme to put it nicely.
