It’s a chilly start this morning in deep country.

Meaningless unless you live in / grew up in Stafford. The town centre, largely occupied by an abandoned 90s shopping centre has been entirely demolished. Good because it desperately needs regeneration. But very weird as the place I grew up pretty much no longer exists!

Lady in front of me spend £205 in Home & Bargain- which takes considerable effort and I was impressed. I secured the best confection to exist.

I’ve been on the M25 with my engine switched off not moving for almost 2 hours. Gradually people are getting out their cars to pee and stretch legs. I still have another 3 hour drive ahead when I do eventually move. Not quite the day I had imagined.
