Its been a magnificent day with no wind but a nice swell down the beach, sand is returning slowly lots of people enjoying the last week before parking charges start

There’s been a run of big swells throughout Western Europe, we’ve even got offshore days 6-8 on the sets no takers. The sands are still miles out to sea so zero beach at 1/4 after low.

Finally some bluish sky. Lots of changes down the beach, mainly that we don’t seem to have one anymore.

Reviewing the video from Air India it certainly looks as if it is wheels down and flaps up config. This would be a very strange configuration could well result in the outcome with a very heavy aircraft in hot weather

A stunning day down at the beach, literally the calm before the storm, we have two ugly lows coming in with one model showing 60kt (120kph)winds on Wednesday

I totally believe this is the biggest pure swell I’ve seen here in 9 years a steady 15’ and up to 24’ on the sets, offshore wind with 17 secs interval . Awesome

High tide today and classic offshore 4'waves, been watching the point here for ages, it always looks like it should work but then the next wave will dredge right off the rocks, on the right swell and size it will happen but while some did break today most were rock sandwich territory. One day.

Today storm Darrah’s storm surf arrived along with howling onshore winds, still sun was shining so not all bad.

Empty surf not heat but you would think there would be one frother up for it
