Thank you to Premier Environments, who hosted their annual Chair Hockey Tournament last night, benefiting Snider! We had a fantastic evening of fun, competitive games! The event raised $15,000, which will be matched 2:1, bringing the total amount to $45,000 for Snider programming!

Members of the Snider Leadership Council attended Leadership Unleashed, a full day of workshops and networking sessions designed to hone our students' leadership skills and connect them with other leaders in the Snider community.

Today, we celebrate the life and legacy of Bernie Parent on what would have been his 81st birthday. Bernie’s dedication to the game and to helping others left a lasting impact on Snider. We’re proud to celebrate the life he lived and the inspiration he continues to instill.

Snider students toured Elizabethtown College and West Chester University! At Elizabethtown, student ambassadors showed our students around campus and admissions gave them an idea of what life is like at Etown. At WCU, Snider alumni gave our students their perspective on attending the school.

#SniderHockey & Education middle school students took a tour of St. Joseph's Prep yesterday! Thank you to The Prep for inviting us to campus and showing our students what life is like at your school.

Snider Compete to Grow students spent the last two day at Development Camp! Along with their on-ice sessions, our students participated in a professional skills workshop, watched a documentary about Willie O'Ree, and heard from Flyers Mental Performance Coach Jeremy Rahn!

The 2026 Snider 3v3 Adult Hockey Tournament raised over $81,000 for #SniderHockey & Education Programs! Attendees spent an action-packed day on Flyers ice playing competitive hockey in a cross-ice format while raising money for our students.

In honor of what would have been Bernie's 81st birthday, join The Roster, Snider’s monthly giving program, at $25/month as “Bernie’s #1 Fan”. Your ongoing support will specifically provide 100+ young goalies with the specialized training, mentorship, and confidence they need to succeed.

Three Snider students, Kevin Brown, Sydney Joseph, and Anna Steinbrenner, were nominated to receive the Union League of Philadelphia Good Citizen Day Award! Kevin, Sydney, and Anna were nominated based on qualities of honesty, courage, tolerance, curiosity, loyalty, and civic engagement.

Our Alumni Spotlight for March is Reilly Love, a first year Entertainment Marketing major at Saint Joseph's University. Earlier this month, Reilly participated in Next Shift with the Philadelphia Flyers, a mentoring and leadership event for young women. Congratulations, Reilly!

Snider is excited to launch a new opportunity for students interested in healthcare professions: the Emerging Healthcare Professional Program. This program will give high school students a hands-on introduction to the healthcare field through sessions with medical professionals.

6U and 8U #SniderHockeyLeague students wrapped up their seasons this weekend! The Snider student-athletes received a medal celebrating the work they put in to make this an outstanding season! Congratulations to all on a great year!

This Thursday is the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's Universal 7th Grade Visitation Day, and #SniderHockey & Education 7th graders are encouraged to attend! Students can spend the day attending their desired Archdiocese of Philadelphia school.

Two #SniderHockey & Education students, Timur Abdugapporov and Simon Akimov spent the weekend in Detroit, MI at Willie O'Ree Skills Weekend! Timur and Simon took part in on-ice drills, met current NHL players and hockey players, and caught the Red Wings/Bruins game.

Our students are on the way home from the #WFrozenFour, but not before one more college visit! Thank you to Wilkes University for giving our student-athletes a tour of your university today!

It's time for the 2026 women's NCAA ice hockey championship, and our student-athletes are excited to watch the highest level of collegiate hockey!

In the third Snider: Pathway to Officiating session, #SniderHockey & Education students further developed their officiating skills by learning about positioning, communication, and assessing penalties on the ice!

Congratulations to the three winners of the HERO Writing Challenge - Jamar Brown, Miyu Mayama, and Felix Vazquez! These three student-athletes wrote outstanding essays recognizing their own personal HEROs. Well done!

Caleb Kim was the overtime hero as the #SniderHockey & Education 10A-National travel team defeated Play Hockey 9-8 in a thrilling championship game to win the Shamrock Showdown tournament at Hollydell Ice Arena this weekend!

The Snider Leadership Council held their third meeting of the season this past Wednesday, meeting with Snider Board Member Mike Sulkes. Our students heard about Sulkes' experience managing Xfinity Mobile Arena and discussed the importance of integrity and leadership.

On Thursday, the Simons 18U #SniderHockeyLeague team created 100 hygiene packs for the St. Francis Inn in Philadelphia. Students packed bags with hygiene essentials for shelter visitors, followed by a discussion about the importance of community engagement and supporting our neighbors.

The first #SniderHockeyLeague champions of the 2025-26 season have been crowned! Congratulations to the Simons Sonics on taking home the 18U division championship!

In celebration of their partnership with the NHLPA, Amazon presented Snider with a $10,000 check to support our programming. Our staff had the incredible opportunity to meet Flyers center Trevor Zegras, Rep. Joanna McClinton, Kevin Shattenkirk, and other representatives from Amazon and the NHLPA.

#SniderHockey & Education 16A-National and 12A-National will compete in AAHA district championships this weekend. Flyers center Trevor Zegras and The Philly Sports Guy wished them good luck as they get ready for the big weekend!
