So here i am posting what for me is one of the best things i have finished for monsters in the game. Every monster in the game when spawning has a chance to be automatically altered by the server itself making different versions!! It is amazing! Very powerful. #gamedev #indiedev #rpg #mmorpg #c++

Started working on getting the monsters in, have it almost done but my son(1 year old) has chickenpox so he was crying all night and i could not finish it. Will continue tonight.

Added a sprite randomizer in my mapeditor! So now i can randomize a sprite with the amount of sprites i want and add % chances to them! This is amazing and it helps a lot! #2d #gamedev #indiedev #mmo #rpg #indiegame

So i was wondering, as an indie dev solo dev i am more and more starting to realize that maybe using a game engine is the smarter way to go. How do indie devs that code from scratch have the time to maintain the engine and work on the world and story etc? @indiedev @gamedev @indie

There is something about this place that really speaks to me. We went from nothing to a whole set of sprites that come together amazing and make a whole game and story. And an engine that is now starting to function correctly in c++ #gamedev #indiegame #c++ #mmo #pixelart

So many possibilities! Just imagine looting a magical minotaur claw from a battle orc that has fought against a minotaur way back in the day. That claw could then be imbued in a sword making the powers of the sword stronger against a minotaur….this brings so much playstyle possibilities! #gamedev

Been changing and adding a lot of code. Almost done to have some tests tonight. Wondering if my code for special items work. So any item can be “imbued” to have different stats for example life leech against all monsters or only a certain type of monster. Makes me think of , minotaur slayer sword

So i have worked in Unity for some time. But today i will tell everyone that i have been slowly making a switch to c++. The flexibility and power i have making modules or code parts in c++ is better for me for the game i am creating. Will be showing off a lot more in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!

I have been struggling with a build which made it so the game could not be loaded correctly. I have managed to fix it finally and it is a blessing being able to log in and see it all working again.

So now the talents system is done, i can now start adding some spells and passives! So now i have tasks , stats and talents done…. Its time to start building the world more and add quests and npc’s!

Woohoo!! Got my monster maker working! Have it correctly exporting everything in the right order and also the right values! Will show tomorrow how it is at the moment. A lot will change later on but the basics are done 😁 love this stuff!

A lot of functions working but some are not saving correctly yet! Off to a great start! This will eventually save so much time , i love it.

Well well been running in to some coding issues with parts of the server not functioning correctly xD need to fix that first and then i can start the server on my vps for tests! Bring on the fixes and then the multiplayer tests!

Working on a monster creator now for the game! Some challenges ahead but it will speed up game creation later on!!! Will post updates as i get things done

Going underground can be dangerous without having a rope at hand!! We wanted to make it have a bit more of an rpg feeling so making the rope have 100 meters and every time you use the rope it cuts 5 meters from the rope. It will also stay there for 5 minutes. In the video its 10 seconds for test
