if there's anything you can learn from undertale, it's that if your friends are super into something, you should put some of that stuff in the things you make. not just to make them smile, but because it will probably end up making a whole lot of other people smile, too.

I am honored to have been the producer for the UNDERTALE 10th Anniversary special stream version. It was as fun to work on as it was to watch, thanks to the three musketeers and @tobyfox.undertale.com! I also conceptualised the UNDERTALE Memories project with @fangamer.com. Stay determined!

I really hope mainstream creators start pushing the envelope as far as having scenes of love & sex in their works. I don't mean just nudity, or things off-camera. I see works with gore gets tens of thousands of likes, & works that even imply sex getting one or two, & I'm tired of the violence.

Toby aggressively sticking to the pacifist route for this run and denying everyone the Sans fight over and over again was so perfect. Toby loves a good troll, but more than that, Sans' dialogue was so on point with every encounter. He never wanted to fight you. He doesn't like fighting.

I hope the entire crew who worked together on making that Undertale 10th anniversary stream are now going to have a really nice meal and get a lot of good rest

It's interesting because Toby changed so many things in that version of the game, and everyone desperately wants to save Asriel. We have for 10 years. That's one of the messages of the game, though, too. That even with endless kindness and determination, one person cannot save everyone

Really love Toby saying the extra stuff in the anniversary stream game was "smoke and mirrors" which means it was slapped in there in a way that definitely can't be released in any playable form without breaking XD

Got just a little taste of how Toby struggled as a creator as well, choosing what to keep and what to discard. He said he is happy with the game as it is now, but obviously those alternatives are still very much a part of him and something he thinks about.

It was important they admitted they were only able to even go through like 1/4 of the submissions sent in. I'm glad everyone was able to exceed Toby's expectations

Toby encouraged people to make their own things again and again. So nice. He got his own start through fanworks, and he endlessly credited all of his many, many inspirations that whole stream I have so much respect for him for openly and constantly admitting everything and everyone who helped him
