The production values of #Melfest are definitely well beyond most other national finals. That last performance was basically Eurovision-ready in terms of staging and visuals.

I may check in with the Bulgarian final today, but I'm not a big fan of how the contest is structured.

Like with other longer national selections such as Lithuania, I probably won't be able to get around to Melfest until the final. These are marathons, not sprints, anyway.

Next up for me is planning a review of the Benidorm Fest songs. Just because they're not at Eurovision doesn't mean I'm not going to watch. It was an enjoyable hot mess last year.

I'm not going to listen to these for a bit, but my main concern is that Alexander's song is going to be mid and it will make me sad if so

ERT's video of "Ferto" has 1.3M views in a little over a week, completely blowing the rest of the field out of the water. I may be responsible for several of those views.

"Melusina" Luxembourg could have sent this decades ago. Somehow, it still works in 2026 and she looks lovely. Getting major "Voila" vibes. Might be too sedate for your average ESC audience, though. #LSC2026 #LSC

"Prison Dorée" This song shows off his vocal abilities better than "Je danse." I think the staging is missing something. I thought this could win but now I'm not sure. #LSC2026 #LSC

#LSC2026: "Sweet Tooth" I thought this was fine when I did the listen-through. Staging is elevating it. Don't know if it can win but it's presenting better than I expected.

I really quite enjoyed the Luxembourg Song Contest last year, so they're going into tonight with a high bar to clear. I could see this going at least 3 different ways and none would surprise me. #LSC2026

Listening to the Sing for Greece songs for a video to come soon. Not done going through them, but I think I have heard my favorite NF song so far.

The rumors were true about Alexander Rybak making a comeback. I'll listen to the song in due time but when you win Eurovision, every subsequent attempt will be compared to the winning song. All this to say, I'm not super optimistic.

Hopefully this includes crazies like me who watched the whole thing online (and still somehow has not opened an account at the Bank of Valletta)
