Half: Indy 0-1 Legion Vassell’s free-kick the difference at the break. Game feels pretty similar to Wednesday’s Tampa encounter, with Legion slightly on top in a tightly contested matchup. The question now is whether they can keep it up in the second half.

Fun fact: I went to interview Vassell at open practice this Monday. I had to wait a good 15 minutes after the practice ended to do so because the Jamaican spent that entire time practicing his free-kicks. Asked about it, he told us his motto was “Proper preparation prevents poor performance.”

Interesting tidbit from Briggs’ presser: he claimed both the fourth official and the AR said the tackle on Damus in the 1st half was a penalty, but the center ref overruled them. Briggs made it clear that wasn’t an excused for an embarrassing 2nd half, but still pretty bad.
