Part of me is thinking about taking a break from gaming news considering how depressing it's been recently but also it's kinda not something I think anybody should look away from and I don't wanna be seen as only here for good stuff and not willing to criticize the bad stuff in this industry.

I'll try to make this the last time I harp on this but axing physical games would sting a bit less if Sony simply stated they're planning on making updates to their digital store policies that will give more leeway to consumers but instead it's just "digital only Playstation 2028 deal with it"

Nintendo finally saw that there's an entire subgenre of games that try to ape Metroid's style that's dominating the indie scene and remembered that they actually own Metroid

IMO this is the bare minimum for a digital only platform. But Sony would never budge an inch on anything consumer/digital rights related so I can't say I'll be supporting them once physical games go. Would love to be proven wrong tho...

As expensive as it would be I'm more willing to spend more money on a gaming PC than a digital only console and stick to indie games and emulating older games. Hell, I'd sooner take something like a steam deck over a PS6
