Last night's Dragonbane session saw the heroes entering some dark caves, losing their healer to a raging river and being eaten by spiders. All of them, 2nd ever TPK, and l was even trying to go easy on them. They will never know what happens to the Misty Vale.

Stupid work meant I had to skip Dragonbane this evening. Boooooo But I have now submitted my game and booked my hotel for #Grogmeet26 hurrah!

Finally got my first TPK on Sunday. Playing Shiver Blockbuster Starter Set, my players ticked the Doom clock all the way up, so I set off a volcanic eruption and immortalised them all in lava. Even got a round of applause for it. Horror games can be fun.

Just discovered that gluten free hobnobs exist! Haven't had a hobnob in years, so happy.

In tonight's Two Headed Serpent, l failed a sanity roll losing 6, sparking a crazy plan. In pursuit of said crazy plan, l fumble the next sanity roll and lose 20 san! Can't stop laughing.

I hate Kettering station, the staff are singularly unhelpful and make stupid announcements that make you run across the station and still miss your connection. Then they lock the toilets and all disappear. Leaving you stuck for an hour with no information.

What's with gaming companies delaying dispatching orders with no explanation? I placed 2 orders on 10th July for Continuum Convention this weekend. One was dispatched the day after it was due to arrive, but I've still not even had a dispatch notice for the other, looks like I'm going without it

Back home after a fabulous (but far too hot) weekend at UK Games Expo. Played an excellent game of Xcrawl, tried some new board games and shared some wonderful company. Time for that obligatory haul photo.

On the 2nd train of my journey to #GenCon Just watched a master class in de-escalation from the conductor asking someone to leave the train after purchasing an invalid ticket. Fare dodger really rude and insulted another passenger. Conductor was polite and calm and fare dodger did get off

Had my first Thai massage today. It was not what l expected. It was intense, brutal and weird. But it was also wonderful. I hadn't realised how tense my arms, hands and toes were until the tiny lady pummeled me to Epsom an inch of my life. Awesome.

Well I'm feeling the effects of my significant birthday yesterday already, just tried to put both legs into a single leg of my trousers. And I wasn't even trying to be a pretend mermaid 🧜‍♀️

Hurrah! I've just managed to walk up and down the stairs normally. No crutches and one foot per step. Still had to go slowly on the way down, but that's a massive improvement.

So today is not quite going to plan. Was supposed to be off nerding out all day, but instead I'm in A&E after waking up in excruciating pain and not being able to put weight on my right leg. Boo and Hiss

My game today is cancelled (boooooo) But I've just had a £150 refund on my glasses so I'm treating myself to pizza express and a nice glass of red wine. Plus my first ever dough balls, l didn't even know they had a gluten free option for them.

I'm on my way to my first ever parents evening! I'm weirdly excited. I need to get out more 😂

Did a tiny random act of kindness today, and was paid back more than tenfold when a kind and honest stranger handed in my phone when l left it at the checkout in Asda. I would have been thoroughly stuck without it as l was 3 busses away from home and my travel ticket was on my phone.

Second run-through of Dragonbane this evening. Ran much better than my first attempt last week, got nearly to the end of the scenario. Much enthused about running it in person at #Grogmeet now. Hurrah.
