We want to make sure our older generation has the ability to live with dignity and get the support they need. The 2025-2026 #PAbudget includes a $10 million funding increase to provide home and community-based services to older Pennsylvanians - known as PennCARE.

Direct care workers help take care of our family members, and they're often don't make enough money to take care of their own families. That has to change. In this #PAbudget, we provided a $21 million funding increase to direct care workers.

The #PAbudget includes an additional $11 million to ensure those that are struggling with hunger and food insecurity due to the suspension of SNAP benefits can turn to our food banks and pantries with confidence those places will have the capacity to assist.

Parents are struggling to find affordable childcare. Centers are having trouble keeping a skilled workforce. This #PAbudget invests $30 million for childcare retention and recruitment efforts throughout Pennsylvania.

The 2025-2026 #PAbudget we passed this week supports the PA Student Teacher Support Program with $30 million. This popular program will help fix the teacher pipeline issues Pennsylvania is facing.

We helped secure $193 million for a NEW Working Pennsylvanians Tax Credit. It's modeled after the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit & would put money back into the pockets of Pennsylvania's working families. Check out the chart to see how much money working families will get.
