Finished! Well the outside is as the ends and doors are now on. That means we have another two 8m x 22m tunnels to join the other 18 of this size, a smaller one, a three bay multispan and an outdoor covered space to fill with our wonderful little herbs 🪴 #peatfree #gardening #flowers #herbs 🌱🇬🇧

Well we’re open again from tomorrow and all ready for the 2026 season! Just a few pics of what we get up to each year - all grown by us, mainly for garden centres but sent out to online customers and at some local events too. All peat free, all home grown 🌱🇬🇧 #herbs #flowers

French Tarragon shoots! We’ll continue to keep the pots dry until around February (they haven’t been watered since October) as it’s the only way to get this herb through the colder, wetter months of winter 🌱🇬🇧

As we head towards the Winter solstice and the return of the light, which means another season of growing herbs… Thank you to everyone who’s supported our small, family business in 2025. Enjoy the Christmas and New Year break as we will whilst we’re closed for two weeks for a well deserved rest 🌱🇬🇧

Great news just before Christmas - we’ve been awarded a 50% grant towards the cost of a new transplanting machine for our 2026 season 🪴 After registering our initial interest almost two years ago, it was wonderful to receive this email a couple of days ago 🌱🇬🇧

The two new polytunnels are coming along nicely too, finally covered yesterday morning as it was dry and calm - leaving the ends to finish off, doors to be put up and then the inside sorted to be ready for next season’s herbs 🌱🇬🇧

What a transformation - one of the trickier areas to clean as it’s a bay of a multispan polytunnel - but he got there and it’s all ready for another season of herb growing 🌱🇬🇧 🙌🏻

We have so much coriander in the raised bed because we just left the original plant to self seed after it bolted and flowered. It’s fully hardy so you can let this happen again and again for year round use 🌱🇬🇧

For #SundayYellow here’s Prospect Cottage, Derek Jarman’s former home and garden at Dungeness. It wasn’t the warmest of days yesterday, to see the garden he created with small beach finds but still beautiful to see it - and the inscription of poetry on a side wall 💛🖤

Apart from a short spell over Christmas and into January, we continue to take cuttings from any plant on the nursery that has enough ‘material’ on it 🪴 Then we care for them whilst they root, grow them on, pot them up and so it goes on… 🌱🇬🇧

We have snow this morning, looking beautiful with the dried hydrangea flowers, yew hedging and oak beams 🌱🇬🇧

It’s a patchwork of greens in the prop tunnel - where the trays of germinated seeds and rooted cuttings sit until we’re ready to pot them 🌱🇬🇧
