A new experience for me having randomly walked past the Polish aisle in the supermarket. Made with wort from rye / barley / wheat, but only very mildly alcoholic and more like coke in taste. Rather nice though

Glad that I discovered Bullfinch taproom last night (thanks Beer Passport). All beer no hype. Took away this can of delicious unfiltered session IPA

In Camden this evening so enjoying Werewolf and 3 Locks. There is another brewery in Camden as well - and I am not prejudiced against their corporate mega-parent - but when I schlepped over there I found that they had closed the bar early.

I have a new challenge- can I visit all 75 breweries in my London Beer Passport between now and December, using all the discount offers. Started local yesterday with Distortion (first visit - great Sonar Pale), a repeat visit to my good friends at Mondo (half price flight) and Battersea.

Enjoying my newly purchased London Craft Beer passport - starting with my local area (Distortion, Mondo, Battersea). A bargain if you have the dedication to explore. Three breweries done, 72 to go

Final stop in Toulouse - joining the locals in Place St Georges for the blonde from Gallia brewery of Paris. Hasn’t dramatically changed my view that beer isn’t the reason to visit France - there are many other good reasons - but tasty enough and in good surroundings

Stopping off at the intriguingly named “Frog and Rosbif” in Toulouse - nice selection of their own beers including a ginger tinged Amber

In Toulouse for a weekend watching rugby. I hadn’t planned to be drinking beer, but when the charming brasserie just around the corner tells you about the IPL from (reasonably) local Brasserie Occitane… well, not trying “un pint” would have been rude. Classic IPL - crisp and also hoppy.

And finally… to the Curlers Rest just up the road and the Stewart’s 80 Shilling

And now to the famous Ubiquitous Chip for dinner and a pint of “Haggis Hunter” from Stirling’s Harviestoun, who are reliably excellent (if you have not tried their Ola Dubh whisky cask dark ale, do so)

Beautiful sunny spring Sunday evening in Glasgow, so I am sticking with my favourite Glasgow brewery - Innis and Gunn - but this time venturing to the lovely surroundings of their West End taproom. Incredibly fresh Original, Rum Cask and “Mangoes on the Run” IPA.

I had to look up what “Foeder” was but I guessed that anything from the mighty @kernelbrewery.bsky.social would be great. And it was. A bit wild and farmhouse-y but also 5.8%. Flashy labels are greatly overrated.
