🗣️ Protecting PA’s Water: Finishing the Job 🗣️ This week, I introduced the PA Water Resource Act (HB 2682), which would assess a fee on extraordinary water users like data center operators, with higher fees for consumptive uses like evaporative cooling.

This morning, by a vote of 197-5, the House passed legislation to repeal and eliminate the Sales and Use Tax Exemption for data centers.

Today the House passed HB 2650 (GRID), which for the first time would attach conditions to the sales tax breaks Pennsylvania gives data center developers, setting requirements for clean energy sourcing, grid upgrade costs, transparency, and community input.

Members of the Bishop Shanahan High School community received a communication on Tuesday that contained inaccurate information about House Bill 2632 and its impact on Bishop Shanahan students.

Juneteenth is a day of celebration and commemoration, honoring the date when enslaved people in Texas were finally given the news that they were free.

✨ A Day in the Life: Intern Edition ✨ The Capitol on a session day can be a chaotic place. On any given day, there will be energetic rallies in the Rotunda bringing the building to life, along with quick transitions to committee meetings, caucus, and the House floor.

On Monday, I had the solemn honor of speaking on the House floor to recognize the life and legacy of Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Timothy J. O’Connor Jr., a devoted public servant and a cherished member of our community who was tragically killed in the line of duty this past March.

This morning I voted in support of HB2632, a bill that brings transparency and accountability to Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program while expanding opportunities for students most in need and ensuring that taxpayer dollars are used effectively and efficiently.

Yesterday, the House Education Committee voted on HB 2602, the Cyber Student Safety Act, sponsored by my colleague and Education Committee Chairman Rep. Peter Schweyer, passing the bill with a 14-12 vote. At its core, this bill is about child safety.

Today, the House Human Services Committee, chaired by my colleague Rep. Dan Williams, held an informational meeting on Complex Care Assistant Programs and the home‑based services that support individuals with medically complex needs.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a drought warning for Chester County. Even with periods of spring rain and a snowy winter, groundwater and stream levels remain lower than normal for this time of year.

Every spring, I visit fourth grade classrooms across the district during their lessons on state and federal government. Our fourth-grade students are just beginning to learn how our government works, and they bring so much curiosity and excitement to every visit. 📚🏛️

I was out in the district today and stopped by Acker Park, and it made my day to see one of the new AED units installed in the park. It is always meaningful to see community safety improvements in the exact places where families gather and kids play.

Families across Pennsylvania are feeling the strain of rising electricity prices, and I hear it every day here in central Chester County as a working mom and as your state representative.

On Memorial Day, we pause to honor the service members who gave their lives in defense of our country. We remember their courage, we honor their families & we reflect on the cost of the freedoms we enjoy. May their sacrifice guide us in how we serve our communities & care for one another.

During the Memorial Day weekend, the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission will be offering the first of two Fish-for-Free Days 🎣 in 2026. On Sunday, May 24, the PFBC will waive its license requirement, allowing anglers to fish within public waterways across PA without possessing a fishing license.

Our district office will be closed on Friday, May 22 and Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. We will reopen at 9 AM on Tuesday, May 26 to assist you with any state-related services.
