It was fun for what it was. A very typical slasher with mid characters and a somewhat predictable plot. Just turn your brain off and enjoy the stabby stab stabs.

I watched the extended version this time around (or is it the Directors Cut?) and I am not sure how to feel about it. I think we spend more time with the characters and we get a better sense of how toxic Dani's relationship with Christian is. But I also quite liked how ambiguous the OG release is.

This will forever be one of my favorite horror movies. Though, I am still not sure which one I like better: This one or the American. I enjoy it a lot for what it is. It might be too slow for some, but I have such a nostalgic feeling that it's an easy watch (I have the focus of a salted peanut, tbh)

Something about Asian Horror will forever scare me shitless 😂

This was such a fun watch! One of the most entertaining found footage that I've seen in a while. Not a original concept, but a good execution. I liked all the creepy noises, and the way it was shot. There was exactly enough variation to keep my attention. Can't wait to watch all of the sequels!

Now Watching 📺 Ju-On: The Grudge A mysterious and vengeful spirit marks and pursues anybody who dares enter the house in which it resides.

The first half of the movie, nothing much happens. It has a decently creepy atmosphere. Though, I feel like it is trying a little too hard to be the Shining. The concept is interesting, but the execution is lacking. There is some decent gore. But the movie as a whole sadly doesn't work.

The V/H/S series is one of my favourites and I enjoyed this one a lot. While it definitely isn't the best out of all the movies, it is a fun watch for what it is. As always, the tones vary highly per segment. This is to be expected, honestly, as it is the case with every V/H/S I've watched.

Now Watching 📺 V/H/S Halloween A collection of Halloween-themed videotapes unleashes a series of twisted, blood-soaked tales, turning trick-or-treat into a struggle for survival.

I was so intrigued, I couldn't look away. The movie feels like a fever dream. There is a decent amount of body horror and gore, enough to keep my interest. It has a creepy atmosphere through out the movie. I actually felt bad for May and wanted to be her friend.
