Great to see this year's BBC 100 Women list, with the theme of 'resilience' featuring none other than Gisele Pelicot. Great to see 22-year old trailblazing politician Hana-RÄwhiti Maipi-Clarke being recognised in this.

It took a wet weekend to finally get myself to the library. Heath (1.5 yr old for context) was less interested in the children's books and kept finding 'gifts' for me, including this one (and a graphic novel about a cat written in Chinese). What can I say? He has his mother's eclectic taste.

I'm so happy about this. I would genuinely read a shopping list written by Barbara Kingsolver. If you haven't read her earlier work, particularly The Bean Trees and Pigs in Heaven, lordy lord, get into it. Any other fans out there? If so, we should probably be friends.

I have the immense privilege of working on I'll Never Call Him Dad Again, a memoir from Caroline Darian, the daughter of Gisèle Pelicot. This is a story of unfathomable trauma, but it's also about what we do with that & how we rebuild. Her words stand as a rallying call to end chemical submission.

I found this piece absolutely fascinating from a journalist perspective - how we treat subjects and sensitivities - and as The Border Trilogy has to be one of my favourite series (what can I say, I'm a die-hard for anything set in the American west).

I missed the first Twitter wave and felt like I was always playing catch up. Bluesky feels like a fresh start. Like we're rolling back to the 2010's. It's very on-brand for this millennial trend we're currently surfing. Absolutely no-one can convince me on the merits of low-rise jeans though.
